KILL YOUR LAG!
The Killer E2200 Intelligent Networking Platform is built for maximum networking performance for online games and high-quality streaming media. Featuring Advanced Stream Detect, Killer E2200 automatically detects and accelerates game traffic ahead of other network traffic for smoother, stutter-free in-game performance and the competitive edge. With this exclusive, automatic traffic prioritization, games and real-time chat get priority over low-level system chatter, giving you the lowest latency for game data on the most controllable network hardware available. Through the detection and prioritization of gaming traffic you can finally fully utilize your network without fear of being kicked from an on-line game because of high ping. This enables true multi-tasking without manually enabling or disabling applications, updates and installations. Killer networking actually allows you to use your PC 24 hours a day.
GAMING DEVICE PORT
You want more FPS, lower ping, but why use a pro-gaming mouse with old-fashioned standards? MSI Gaming Device Port is optimized for high polling rate mice (500 to 1000 Hz) which lowers your mouse's response time from 8 milliseconds to 1 millisecond! This gives a much smoother mouse response in games. The additional gold plating on the ports enhances the durability drastically and ensures your PS/2 and USB ports are always working when you ship out to a LAN party.
TOP QUALITY AUDIO WITH SOUND BLASTER CINEMA
Hear your enemies perfectly, even on an ear-drum shattering battlefield. Thanks to Sound Blaster Cinema, you're getting amazing surround sound with just stereo headphones. Your most important gaming sound effects are reproduced crystal clear allowing you to focus on your game even during extremely long gaming sessions. Powered by the SBX Pro Studio technologies, Sound Blaster Cinema enables you to clearly hear specific sounds in gaming environments, making your ears a decisive tool on the battlefield.
OPTIMIZED FOR MULTIPLE GRAPHICS CARDS
MSI Z77A-G45 GAMING motherboards feature two PCI-Express 3.0 slots, perfectly aligned and with enough space for an optimal airflow when using multiple graphics cards. That way, you will never have to worry about an overheating PC, while you are enjoying the best graphics jumping off from your monitor when running a NVIDIA SLI or AMD Crossfire gaming setup.
MILITARY CLASS III COMPONENTS
Military Class III components is the next step in high quality components. The Solid CAP and Super Ferrite Choke will make sure that your PC runs more stable under extreme gaming conditions. Solid CAP: With their aluminum core design, Solid CAP's have been a staple in high-end design mainboard designs and provides lower Equivalent Series Resistance (ESR) as well as its over-10-year lifespan. Super Ferrite Choke: Super Ferrite Chokes use a Ferrite core that is Super-Permeable. This allows the Super Ferrite Chokes to run at a 35 degree Celsius lower temperature, have a 30% higher current capacity, a 20% improvement in power efficiency and better overclocking power stability.
What Other Items Do Customers Buy After Viewing This Item?
I Ordered this board to replace an asus h77 board and man was it an upgrade. The construction is world class and the heatsinks are shaped like dragons which was a really cool touch. I'm planning on SLI in the future and this board is Nvidia SLI capable. The software took about 4 minutes to install and the built in overclocking device called OC Genie II brought my i5 3570K from 3.4ghz to 4.2ghz in one button click. If you do plan on overclocking remember to buy a good cooling system like a corsair H100 water cooler. Overall this board is fantastic looking and pushs 2nd and 3rd gen intel chips to their max.
Build: i5 3570K @4.2 GHz MSI z77a-g45 GAMING MSI gtx660ti Power Edition/OC base core clock @1050 MHZ, In game boost clock @1215 MHz, MEM clock at 1752 MHz, In game @3502 MHz and thats the important stuff

The board is very solid, and price is very acceptable. Besides, killer just kills the lag as they say. If you want to build an old 1155 socket system, this board would be great for you.

I purchased this motherboard locally two months ago to replace my buggy P67 mobo.I did not purchase this item from Amazon however, I am taking the time to write a review...which is something I never do.
Simply stated the board rocks! For those who do not care for on-board audio...well this board made me a convert, yes I've had a dedicated sound card in every custom build for the last 15 years. The Sound Blaster Cinema is basically the SBX Pro studio suite, yes it comes with the board just make sure you install it after the Realtek driver reboot! Still running my old school Logitech Z-5500 speakers and they sound fantastic with the "on-board" audio. Battlefield 3 fans will enjoy the audio as will audiophiles listening to music.
Gaming lag is eliminated with the Killer LAN. Boot times with an older SSD rival my newer i7(3610) laptop with a Samsung 830 SSD.This board is solid.
The board also comes with Lucid Virtu MVP. Install the software and enable it using CLICK BIOS II in your desktop. It makes a difference when gaming. Those not familiar with the technology but are with benchmarking, consider these benchmarks.

First motherboard of my first build and was it successful. Instructions were easy to understand and pretty detailed for the most part. The BIOS had a nice look, easy to understand, and has Black and Red theme match my set up. However, there are a few blue LEDs near the CPU and the status indicator, caught me a little off guard as i was trying to have a completely red and black set up but i ended up having little bits a blue everywhere so it's not a big deal, but defiantly a warning.

The board works fine but the heatsinks were very very loose. There has to be some better packaging. When I opened the box there was no cushioning on the larger sides of the mobo. Other than that it works fine.

I order this a little over a month ago, on the 30th day, I found the board to be defective. But I understand that things happen, and sometimes with any type of technology, sometimes things do not work right. It does not matter what you buy when it comes to technology, not all are going to be perfect, even cars are like that(Lemons). I was lucky and Amazon refunded me the money and I ordered another one. I did not contact MSI about the issue, but they probably would be interested in hearing what happen to it. Anyway, MSI are great motherboards. This MB in general does everything for you, and is super easy for someone that really never tried to OC a machine before, but I did my research this time before choosing a board, I wanted the Sabertooth by ASUS, but I needed to keep my budget around a thousand, so I went with this board. I have heard others complain that is has a Blue light, instead of red to keep with the theme of Red and Black on the MB. But as one person said, "you can cover the light", to me it adds to the red lighting within the case. The only other issue, is the way the Sata Ports are placed on the MB. They are not positioned straight up as in my ASUS board now, they positioned to side. To me it is nothing major. I think the positioning of these ports is perfect in helping one have a nice wiring setup with the machine, instead of the hot mess I have in my older machine. :p Something that makes me laugh, is people complain that the board does not come with SLI/Crossfire cable. My video card came with it, why send the cable with the MB if not everyone is going to SLI/Crossfire the system. Saves people money that way. The more it comes with, the more the board will me.
