For me, I will NEVER buy another MSI product due to its lack of support.

MSI LGA 1555 P67A-GD65 ATX-MB (B3)

I usually never right a review for a product but this MB and MSI really need to be exposed. First off I always buy ASUS but this MSI MB was requested as a possible future replacement.

3 out of 3 motherboards - MSI LGA 1555 P67A-GD65 ATX-MB (B3) were bad.

2 MB's were DOA- BIOS was bad, took a week to get MSI tell me to send back to AMAZON. MSI tried the check the RAM or CPU excuse but I knew the components I had were working fine.

The only MB that was not DOA seemed fine. The install went smooth and made it 48 hours. I was just about to start installing software when I smelled smoke, looked up and the board was on fire! I was lucky I was there to take care of it. 20 years building computers and I have never seen a board flame.

I have gone back to ASUS, obo 2x the price but definitely 10x the quality/performance.

I've used MSI motherboards before though I'd recently had an ASUS board. When I was looking for something to go with a i5 2500K cpu this seemed like the best value for the money. Overclocking is really easy with this board though I don't think the OC Genie is that wonderful. It works but tends to overvolt the processor. Looks good, components are high quality. Good placement of various connectors. The front USB connector is a little tricky. There is a red box/housing around it that the little extra connector did not fit in.
Live Update does not work well. Don't bother installing it.

I just love UEFI! It looks gorgeous with mouse support (though mouse support is still in its infancy)

Managed to put all my high end components into the mobo without a problem. Build quality was great.

Got a decent OC of 4.4Ghz @ 2.95v on a i7-2600k (not brilliant)

Cons: The OC and memory OC options are a bit confusing but after some googling got it down pretty well.

I did a lot of research on this board. It was easy to overclock. I am expecting it to last awhile.

Board was advertised as New,but. Might have been a refurbished unit. Anti-static bag tape not on properly and bar code tag on board was partially scratched off.
Used it to replace same model board I messed up while replacing CPU heat-sink. Works now and price about ˝ what I paid for 1st board.

If you are looking at the BIOS or whatever advanced setting, the basic interface will bore you. But its still pretty straight forward.

This mobo is tough, withstands heat too. Its strong so just go for it. But ofcourse, I always advice to get the later editions.

Fancy looking mobo with cooler metal (although I doubt that really helps a lot) and decent price, but if u want to be safe get asus, more money but more powerful

I would rate it 5, but its been one year and I had a few BIOS issues, hard drive problems as well.
First I didnt notice I had a bad HD, the motherboard wont start, I started taking ram out, but didnt work. That happened 8 times...Couldnt find info on MSI, just a couple of beeps that apparently was a motherboard issue.
I took of that HD, and now its working fine.
