MSI Wind 9-cell Battery

I bought this to get more "roaming time" while traveling. It is giving about six hours, more than the standard battery that comes with the MSI wind, but less than I thought for the added weight. Great to be able to be unplugged longer, but not so great because the time is shorter than I thought.

I hated this battery. It made my netbook heavy and bulky. It never held any better charge than my old 6 cell battery. When it ran down to 35% the computer would suddenly shut down. Finally the battery just wouldn't accept a charge at all. I'm just hoping it was still under warranty, so I can get a replacement, but the return window has expired. Mucho hassle.

Both batteries that I purchased died within six months and were not recognized my my netbook. Also, the capacity listed on the box was 9500mAh, but the actual capacity rated within windows was 6500mAh. Will not buy again!

Wife is happy with the extended battery life, can play Farmville for days... :) Really, what was 3+ hours with the OEM 3 cell is now 3 to 4 days of useful device up time.

I bought this because my original 6-cell battery was wearing down. I knew the 9-cell would be heavier but I was willing to deal with the extra weight as a trade off.
Within the first month of use I found that the battery just wasn't holding up!
And after three months I had maybe 45 minutes of active use before the battery died.
So now I have the extra weight without the benefit of a 9-cell battery!

Arrived already opened. Box is misleading and contains numerous misspellings. Definitely third-party. If you could select color, that'd be nice, but a big, hefty white one isn't so bad. It's better than the defunct stock battery I had before, so... no complaints.
