Okay well for the price it seemed like a very nice MOBO. With the PCIE 3.0 port it seemed to good to be true, and it was. The problems started when I tried to load the MSI drivers onto the computer. Every thing went fine until around the end when the computer just up and froze. After about a minute you would get a blue screen error. I finally got all of the drivers and bios loaded and was happy for about a week or two,but all of a sudden all audio just stopped. I tried every thing I could to trouble shoot the problem.(uninstalling and reinstalling drivers- trying to use old drivers and also checked hardware) With the stereo I was using if you cranked the volume to the max and the PC volume the same you could hear what almost sounded like a whisper of what audio it was trying to produce. Also in the bios the MOBO would always default my RAM speed to 1333Mz when it says on the package of my RAm that it is 1600Mz. I would go in and change it myself to 1600Mz,But I would get errors and my Windows would not boot.
In the end my situation my have been isolated, and this board is good for the price (you get what you pay for).

This is my second MSI motherboard, I love them so far and I think I will probably continue using them in future builds.
Pros: - PCIe x16 3.0: faster for my GPU - SATA 6GBps x 2 << definitely a pro for my SSD and HDD - older style PCI slots still available - UEFI Bios ("Click Bios II) which allows for larger than 2.1tb hard drives to be recognized... Windows 7 instantly recognized my 3tb HDD - Click Bios II which allows you to control BIOS features from within windows, and excellent feature for sure, you can even flash your BIOS from within windows which is awesome... even my older MSI motherboard has this feature using MSI live update 5.
Cons: - RAM slots are a little too close to the CPU, my heatsink covers two of the slots up, so I had to be sure to install my RAM before I mounted the heatsink, but if I ever need to replace RAM, I'll have to completely remove my heatsink, which would include removing thermal compound, cleaning CPU and heatsink, and then reapplying it all... JUST to replace the RAM. - Only 2 SATA 6GBps slots... a downer, but still nice to have the two. - I'm sure people still have ps2 mice and keyboards... but I don't see this as a neccessity... USB keyboards and mice are generally plug and play these days... even my wireless keyboard and mouse worked with this motherboard on first startup.

I built a FreeNAS server using this motherboard and an Intel i3 cpu. I went with this because I wanted something stable and reliable, and a good Intel chipset. I've had my FreeNAS server running for 1 year now with this board, which I use heavily for video editing (via Gigabit Ethernet) and backing up my media. I've only had to reboot the machine once the entire year unexpectedly. I'd say that this board has went above and beyond my expectations. I definitely recommend and will continue to purchase MSI components because of my experience.

This was the cheapest motherboard I could find for my intel i5 3570k I was easily able to over clock to 4.0GHz with the BIOS menu, and so far this motherboard has lasted for 6 months without any problems.

Everything works. I'm not a gamer. It overclocks my 3470 cpu to 3.6 GHz with no problems. Music over the internet sounds excellent over my HK "soundsticks" speakers. This is a good basic Z77 board. If you don't need more bells and whistles, this may be a good buy. I am happy with it.

I bought this board for my girl friends son... He originally thought it would fit in his old case... It was off slightly so we ended up buying a new case with a better power supply... We basically built a new computer as we bought a new processor... I would suggest anyone doing this invest in the better heat adhesive to transfer the heat better... He is very happy with the results...
