There are several people who cannot get this product to fire a missile on the dream cheeky forums. Mine does not either. I just got it and the software works, but the compression motor I guess has some issue. Do not buy this product!!!!

The software freezes when I try and fire missiles----making this an expensive door stop at best. I would have been better making a paper airplane out of a 20 dollar bill and then flying it off of a tall building---at least then I would have witnessed things flying in the air. As it is, it just sits there. The only thing worse than the product is the amazon seller I purchased it from--- Cainco Electronix is run by a rude, crass, foul mouthed little man who gets his kicks off of picking on handicapped people and assaulting good folks with vulgarity and profane language. If you enjoy throwing away money, spend it on this. If you are a glutton for punishment, buy it from Cainco.

I have notified Amazon about this UNBELIEVABLE ripoff and warned them about the rude little man. Now you have been warned. 4 people cant be wrong. This item is garbage, and so are some of the people selling it. Purchase one at your own peril.

As noted in the previous review, the launcher has a serious firing problem which renders it basically useless. Not worth buying until problem is fixed. I have had a good experience in the past with the DreamCheeky USB missile launcher (no webcam) which performs very well.

I was a little concerned when I read the reviews on here. (I had already purchased the product; shows you how much attention I pay to stuff like this.) I also overlooked the fact that it was designed to work with MSN Messenger, which also concerned me. (I bought this to fire back a co-worker who likes to throw things at me when I'm not looking, and MSN is blocked at work.) Got it, and it works great for me. It also includes separate software to control it, so you don't have to use it with MSN Messenger if you don't want to. It's unfortunate that it didn't work for several other folks on here who have posted reviews, but I, personally, couldn't be happier with it.

The missile launcher works fine, but the webcam doesn't come with 64 bit drivers & the manufacturer doesn't have 64 bit drivers on their website. If you have a 64 bit system, save the money & buy the version without the webcam.

Dream Cheeky is now making an improved version called the O.I.C Storm Missile Launcher. It does everything but it is the next generation.

Hardware is nice. Camera better than I expected.
Software is out dated and archaic. Software was written a long time ago and never updated. Almost totally featureless.
Missiles do fire! Fun to fire at your friends / Enemies :)
There are two software pieces included.
1. Software to direct the motion and firing. : Old but functional, not much to praise or complain about here.
2. Software for video camera. Almost featureless, unstable ( if you shut it down at the wrong time or something else tries to access the camera you will have to reboot your machine to get it working again.) Primitive architecture. There is a lot left to be desired with the camera software package. Problem is, if you don't install the camera software it wont be detected by the system and you are left with a moving paperweight.

With all that said, its fun to look at and if you are careful with the video fail-ware, its a fun toy.
Hey, and it shoots missiles... got to love that !

This was a waste of money & I should have returned it the day I received it. The novelty is cool. Rockets almost never launch as thay are supposed to and the unit is almost too noisy to have on a desk.

Did not work from the day we opened it. Googled product and many, many, problems with it. Contacted distributor and they immediately refunded money.
