I hooked this to my camera underwater housing and used it during scuba diving in Australia. I hooked one end to the camera and the other to the BCD. It worked well and I it gave me the piece of mind that the camera would always be with me and out of the way when I wasn't using it instead of having to wrapped around my wrist. It retracts well.
