Yes, these are heavier pots than many and certainly heavier than any I own, but I don't mind a bit. I'll gladly pack these knowing they will be more than adequate for my/our needs.
Edit: One other thing. Unless my basic math skills are wrong, there's only three pots in this "4 Pot Set"
I'd certainly recommend these pots to anybody.
Easy clean up, light weight, and nestles in with the MSR Fry Pan.
I chose this for two reasons: durability and flexibility. These seem very well made, and the thickness is a good compromise between weight and strength. They're made in Thailand, by the way (not China as indicated by Amazon). It's a great set to have even if you don't always need all three. You can mix and match based on the size of the group and your needs, both of which can vary a lot in my experience (it's ideal for up to six, I'd say). Also note that the alpine fry pan nests well between the two bigger pans.
I've only got a couple quibbles with these. First, the lid for the middle pan fits a little tight, which would be the only hit I can see on the quality of the pans themselves. The grab handle does seem to flex a little as others have noted, but as long as you're not death-gripping it I don't see it being a liability. I was able to handle a nearly-full pan of hot water with no issue. The one thing I'd change is that it'd be nice to be able to attach a handle with the lid on (something along the lines of the handle on the Alpine fry pan). As it is, you can't put one of the pans in the fire with the lid on without gloves.
Overall, this is a great set for the price, and depending on your needs I doubt you'll find much better at any price. I'm betting these will see plenty of use and give me many years of service.

I have had this set for close to 20 years. Perfect for 2-4 people - I only use 2 pots at a time - the 1 & 2 liter or the 2 & 3 liter. I have only used it on a backpacking stove. Read morePublished 28 days ago by Coach Scott
I have had this set for what must be 25 years. It is still in perfect shape and I have used them a number of times each summer for myself and two kids. Read morePublished 3 months ago by mafitzinger

These are awesome! All the sizes you need; the tops can work as skillets and/or plates; so compactable!Published 8 months ago by Kate
Well made. All of these alpine sets have loops for storage straps but none come with them. The bag does a passable job but I like to replace my bag with an Arno strap.Published 9 months ago by 111t
