Product Description

Because every box of ammo is slightly different, MTM has developed this pistol rest to take the mystery out of each box. The MTM pistol rest is so versatile that it will accommodate a Derringer to a 14" Contender. The base locks into the fork at 20 different positions. Rubber padding is molded to the fork to protect your handgun. The rest was designed to be used without a sandbag, but they can be used with it. When not in use the fork has been designed to clip into the bottom of the base for compact storage. Made of tough polypropylene to last.

I needed a rest to sight in a number of new pistols I purchased and wanted an inexpensive but good quality rest. This fit the bill.
I was able to sight in my Les Baer bulls eye Semi Wad Cutter 1911 45ACP with the Ultra dot site at 25 yards. It was very close to what I ended up adjusting the sights after shooting free hand. I did the same thing with my other bulls eye gun a Ruger Mark II. I still had to adjust the sites after shooting free hand. My iron sights on my 1911 9mm Les Baer sighted in very well and also need to be readjusted after shooting free hand,
The rest is a great easy to carry and folds up flat that it fits in a range bag very easy. You just have to remember that sighting in a pistol with the rest is not going to shoot the same as when you shoot the same gun freehand.
I would highly recommend this rest as it is durable easy to carry
