Product Description

The MTM Predator Shooting Rest, with its exclusive solid four-legged stance, provides the stable, rock-solid gun rest that shooters demand of expensive heavy metal rifle rests, only at a fraction of the weight (3.5 pounds). Equally suited for rifle and handgun enthusiasts, the PSR-30 is lightweight and fully adjustable. The PSR's butt stock support not only levels the rest to uneven surfaces but also adjusts to fit any size long gun. Remove the support completely and PSR-30 becomes a stand-alone handgun rest or front rifle rest. A precision dialed height adjuster allows the shooter to zero in for pinpoint accuracy. The advanced design of the Predator's front rubber shooting pad offers solid contact with just about any shaped stock or barrel.

I purchased this a month ago, I have used it a lot. So far it has not let me down one bit. For 40 bucks that I paid for it, I wish I would of found it sooner. Its not lead sled good, but its not lead sled price either. I first used it to sight in my 30-06. It done pretty desent. Moved around a bit from recoil, but by then the bullet was flying straight. For use with my smaller caliber firearms it performed flawless. I also have been using it to help me clean my guns. Works great for that. The one thing I will add, I was missing one of the parts when I recieved it. I sent an email to MTM about it with the name of the part, and they promptly emailed me back saying they were very sorry and shipped the part to me right away. I recieved it 3 days later. Accidents happen, but backing your product is sadly something we dont always see these days, MTM customer service was top notch! I am proud to own this, and glad to deal business with a company that cares about their product.

I bought the shooting rest to help zero in my .22 rifle. Only used it one day, and ended up zeroing in 2 different .22 rifles, a .270 rifle, and 3 different handguns as well. I thought the "kick" from the .270 would've moved the rest but it stayed right where I put it. When zeroing in the longer range distances, the front rest wouldn't go any lower, so I propped a 2x4 under the rear foot pegs to lower the front some more, and amazingly the rest still stayed put and didn't budge. All in all, I'm very pleased with the purchase and would (and have) recommended it to my friends. As a matter of fact, another friend has borrowed it for his .308 at the moment.

This product is simply but well made, light and portable.
Time will tell how the material will stand up.
I am very pleased with the versatility from rifle to pistol rest. If you are looking for an inexpensive, simple relaible rest that does what it says without any fuss this is it.

Very light, easily maneuverable, inexpensive, versatile, and does not take up much space when you take it shooting. I use it from rifles as big as a .300 WSM all the way to a pistol. This shooting rest works well with my AR-15 beta drum mag, but you cannot use it for a gun that has large magazines. This is the only reason I gave this product 4 out of 5 stars. This situation doesn't really matter but it does takes a little bit longer with a 10 round mag. Other than that this shooting rest is an excellent buy and I recommend it to everyone just as long as you know that you cannot use the shooting rest with large magazines.

I usually shoot from sandbags at the range, but sometimes they are wet and uncomfortable, so I bought the Predator to have a portable rest. It works perfectly for my needs. I like the handle so so can carry things with your other hand. The screw elevation adjustment works well and has a locking position. It also works well for shooting handguns. It is made of polymer, but seems durable and you can always add weight if needed. Sure you can buy a lot better rest at a higher cost, that weighs more, but this one is hard to beat for the money. I know I like mine and I'm keeping it.

Handy lightweight plastic rest. It is adjustable for extended length, works with handguns also. Mine was missing the center pad. No, it would not replace a cast iron precision rest, but for recreational target shooting, it is a well made product.

The main problem is that it's plastic... The main rest where the fore end rests is wobbly because a. it's plastic and b. the plastic tightener that secures the fore end rest was not drilled through all the way, causing the fore end rest to not be able to be tightened. It goes up and down, but down needs to be pushed down because the light weight of the plastic screw and wheel easily overcome gravity and need to be forced downward. The whole thing does move when you shot anything over .223. Very light weight so it's easy to carry out of the trunk. You could probably fill sections of the bottom with concrete. This would probable keep it more stable. But over all, it's light, cheap, easy to carry, good enough to sight in for hunting. But I would definitely not use this for long distance shooting or competitions of any kind.
