I bought this box looking to avoid spending four times the money for a Pelican 1440 case of the same internal size. This MTM box is quite rugged and delivers all it promises, good water resistance, but it isn't air tight. It is not submersible, when fully underwater bubbles leak past the seal. So for a true air tight seal I'll have to get the Pelican case. This MTM box is a fine value though and would easily take being splashed with water or sprayed with a hose without leaking, just not air tight or submersible. Internally it is 13 inches deep, 10.5x15.5 at the top, and 9x14 at the bottom, all measurements are approximate rounded to the nearest half inch. It can be frustrating that most dry boxes only provide external dimensions when all I care to know are internal specs.

THE SECOND MTM SPORTSMEN'S UTILITY BOX WILD CAMO MFG NO: SPUD7-09 BOUGHT. DAD LIKED IT, SO HAD TO GET ONE FOR THE BOY. IT DOES PROVIDE A SEAT WHILE WATERFOWL HUNTING AND DRY STORAGE.
