1.0 out of 5 stars wrong actors listed for episode, October 11, 2011

I purchased this DVD only because it said that the homes of bam margera and the osbournes would be shown. Ozzy osbourne is my most favorite actor/singer and I was very disapointed to find out, in fact, NEITHER of these actors homes were featured. I feel like I was mis-led into buying this disk and would advise anyone considering buying from this seller to be AWARE !!!

Amazon lists the Osbournes and Margera as part of the actors in MTV Cribs-Rock. They are not in this DVD.

2.0 out of 5 stars I'm waiting for the uncut version, May 23, 2006
This review is from: MTV Cribs - Rock (DVD)
I love Mtv cribs. Nothing is cooler than watching people with below average IQs walk a camera crew around the house to show how much richer they are than other people. That being said, this DVD is cool. I love rock n' roll, put another dollar in the jukebox baby. It's fun watching the cool guys from Blink 182, Motlee Crew and Great White walk people around their house. They left out the best part of the Cribs series though. The Asschowder episode was just off the hook. You probably didn't see it so I'll sum it up for you.

First they went to Kroll's house. Kroll's house is shaped like a giant runza and has 6 bedrooms and 2.4 bathrooms. He just told the architect that he has tons of money and wants a runza shaped home. When you're the best hard rock washboard player in the world, things happen for you. He took the crew through the bedroom, which is a giant cheeseburger, then to the bathroom where he keeps blown up pictures of his favorite poops. He actually puts them on a fish hook and poses for pictures with them. They continued on to the room with the different washboards he grew up playing and he even played a riff from the huge Asschowder hit "Girl that talks too much". It was a treat for everyone. They finished up at the pool, which is shaped like a butt.

Next, it was off the Burns' house. Burns' house is a six story mansion in south Fremont with an elevator in it. The main part of the walkthrough at Burns' house was the athletic complex. In his backyard he has a 5,000 seat basketball arena, olympic size swimming pool, Baseball field, horseshoe pits, Full size NASCAR track, a 23 seat football stadium, Wrestling/Boxing ring with setup for HBO, a dojo and a 234 acre lake for pro bassfishing. Burns likes sports and is a great athlete, but they took time to focus on what Burns' does best which is playing the keyboard. He took them through the room with autographed photos of Flock of Seagulls, Erasure and Depeche Mode. All of them were personalized saying things like, "You dwarf our talent, please quit playing". It was a nice tour, but it only gets better.

They were then off to my house. I have a 6500 square foot flat without walls. Everything is out in the open because that's how the world should be in my opinion. If you want to go to the bathroom, you go in front of everyone. It's a long walk from the den quadrant to the bathroom so no one can really see you anyway, but it's just one giant room that covers a lot of ground. I took them through the garage and showed them my collection of sports cars. I showed off the '84 Renault Alliance limited edition, the Black Fiero and my hummer with pictures of me all over it. I took the camera crew out to my farm where I raise hippos. Sometimes I go on expeditions to other countries because I'm super rich. I kind of thought hippos were cool after visiting Africa and wanted one. I was a great hungry, hungry hippos player growing up and I wanted a real life simulation of that in my backyard. The hippos each stand in their area facing each other and I roll 34 soccer balls out in the middle of them. Whoever eats the most wins. It's great fun for the kids.

Then came the tour of champions, J-abs house. Jabs bought an old Super 8 and hollowed it out. He created different themed rooms all over the old hotel. There was the video game room that had 54 vintage arcade games in it, the Husker room with Ben Gessford's shoes from '02, the snack room which lauches twinkies at you when you walk in through a pitching machine and the best room of all, the Fred Durst room. It has pictures of hot chicks all over and pictures of starfish, dogs and chocolate water. There is a The walls are a blown up picture of Fred Durst's latest project, Paul Wall. He simply calls it the Paul Wall. This is the room he hooks up in. The true treat for everyone was when he played his drum solo from "Itchy Wanker" for the camera crew. It's only the most famous drum solo ever.

Overall, it was a great episode and will hopefully come out on DVD soon.
