Product Description

Product Description

Andy Macdonald is here to show us that Tony Hawk didn't invent the skateboard. In MTV Sports: Skateboarding, you can play as Macdonald--or nearly 30 other professional and fictitious skaters--and try to work your way up the rankings. Since everyone is looking for tricks, mastering them will win you prizes and endorsements, as well as slots in higher-profile competitions.

MTV Sports: Skateboarding comes with more than 40 levels, which will take you to both indoor and outdoor arenas, and 60 different tricks, which can be grouped into your own unique combos. There are also different game modes--Stunt, Freeskate, Lifestyle, and Deathmatch, to name a few. And if that weren't enough, the action in MTV Sports: Skateboarding is scored by such hard-core acts as the Deftones, System of a Down, Cypress Hill, Pennywise, and Goldfinger.

This game requires a little patience with the control scheme especially for those of us who have spent weeks of our lives playing that other skating game with that one guy named after a bird. Anyway Andy Mac shows his stuff in this game and while it owes a tip of the hat to aformentioned game it has its own set of strengths. Once you get used to the control scheme you will begin to appreciate this game you can execute all sorts of tricks while just skating on the ground handstands, nosewheelies, manuals etc...The trick controls just take some getting used to once you get a feel for them your opinion of this title will probably change drastically. There are forty levels and boards to unlock and there are also 10 different game modes to play in lifestyle being the most satisfying. The soundtrack sounds good but after it has played over a few times you will probably turn it off. I like Andy Mac and I like this title it is very solid and entertaining, and it begs the question can we have too many skateboarding games? Answer: I think not

this game is ok. Its got a good soundtrack but very difficuly controls if you area a tony hawk fan like i am. The graphics are pretty outdated but it doesnt look bad, the camera angles are really good and well the gameplay is ok. All in all this game is a good cheap game. For how much i payed for it i am satisfied.
