2.0 out of 5 stars Initial amusement, turns into boredom, October 24, 2003

Unfortunitely this game wastes a great and fun concept. The matches are far too easy, and after playing for about 30mins, you've pretty much seen all there is to see. I admit some of the moves are quite funny, but it grows incredibly dull after a short period of time. Considering how long it took them to get this game onto the shelves, you would have expected a lot more from it. But it ends up feeling like it was thrown together at the last minute.

A big disappointment.

5.0 out of 5 stars Celebrity Fighting has never been this fun!, August 18, 2005
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: MTV's Celebrity Deathmatch (CD-ROM)
I saw this on PS1 at my mom's sotre for $4.88... what a good deal! I heard lots of things about it so I bought it!

GAMEPLAY: 10/10 It's celebrity fighting, with celebrities like Mr. T (famous for his "I pity y'all fools" line) and Tommy Lee. It has great game play and...

WEAPONS: 10/10 lots of weapons to choose from. There's a huge giant fish, gutar, stop sign and lots of other things.

CELEBRITIES: 10/10 great choices, I like the bonus celebrities (Wolfman, Frankenstien) and other celebrities like Carmen Electra, Mr. T and THe Oracle from THE MATRIX and more. But one thing: What makes the announcers "celebrities"?

SOUND: 2.5/10 Not really good, like Carmen Electra's "I'm gonna shove my boot in where your sun don't shine!" and Marilyn Manson's "Wanna see my WEIRD eye?" but it's a spoof so you know why

GRAPHICS: 5/10 Would have been better if it didn't look so clay-mationy?

OVERALL:

A great game, especially if you need a laugh. So I reccomend this game to you if you're pissed off at the media (like me)!

5.0 out of 5 stars WWE meets the sickos of MTV, November 27, 2003

I admit, I had a weird feeling on how great the game would be, being it IS only $19.99. But when I put it in, I really couldn't stop. Their portrails of the TV stars are literally to a T, and the voices are pretty close (Anna Nicole Smith- they say "Sugarpie" just like she does.) Plus, the Create-A-Celebrity is pretty cool, to make all the ones who you don't think made it. If you want senseless fun, by this. If you want serious game, buy something else. This is definetly a game for it's price. DON'T LISTEN TO ANYONE ELSE, IT'S A GOOD GAME!!!
