Celebrity Deathmatch: Round 2 is all about the fights! This marvelous Claymation series from MTV not only pokes fun at the stars, but frequently has the stars poking fun at themselves. Stone Cold Steve Austin adds his comments to the first of the two episodes on this tape, in which Loch Ness Monster (cheered on by guest Sean Connery) battles Bigfoot; Steve Tyler takes on Mick Jagger in the Battle for the Biggest Lips in Rock & Roll; and in the main event, the Battle for Late Night, Jay Leno and David Letterman go toe to toe as real-life Johnny Carson disses both of them as the guest referee. The second episode begins with the Cavalcade of Cruelty: Gary Oldman and Christopher Walken duking it out for the title of biggest villain. Next is Michael Flatley versus Bill Gates (and the ensuing mystery of exactly why those two would be fighting each other). The main event is a doozy: Jack Nicholson and Leonardo DiCaprio whaling on each other. What's so much fun (and satisfying) in these pro-wrestling type matches is that, as often as not, both contestants end up mutilated. This isn't a show for the faint of heart; yes, it's only clay, but it's gory clay, and body parts (including intestines) frequently fly. But it's all in great fun. --Jenny Brown

5.0 out of 5 stars Not new but still..., August 15, 2000
This review is from: MTV's Celebrity Deathmatch: Round 2 [VHS] (VHS Tape)
This tape is deep from within the MTV archives, being ones that have been commentated on by Stone Cold Steve Austin (in actual fact Austin provided his voice to all his appearances), some of the hot matches are: David Letterman vs. Jay Leno, Bill Gates vs. Michael Flatley and Leonardo DiCaprio vs. Jack Nicholson, plus loads more. Like everything else by the Celebrity Deathmatch guys this video is must see and although the episodes are constantly being re-shown shell out and get a piece of MTV history...

3.0 out of 5 stars AVERAGE AT BEST, January 3, 2006
This review is from: MTV's Celebrity Deathmatch: Round 2 [VHS] (VHS Tape)
i bought this tape for my nephew, who upon seeing a marathon on MTV2 months ago, loved this show.. i am disappointed there isnt more episodes on tape, but, bought this for him for christmas. based on the other reviews, i thought it would be great. well, it wasnt.. average at best.. the fights were short or non-existent, and the talking in between was too long.. some scenes were funny, but overall this tape was not up to the later episodes which had more fighting...

5.0 out of 5 stars MTV's Celebrity Deathmatch: Round 2, March 6, 2005
This review is from: MTV's Celebrity Deathmatch: Round 2 [VHS] (VHS Tape)
This video was a whole lot better than the first one. All of the six matches were good and entertaining. I would recommend this video and the first one to anyone who used to watch Celebrity Deathmatch, MTV back in the old days, or if you are a new person interested in Celebrity Deathmatch. The second video is definitly worth all of your money. BUY IT.
