4.0 out of 5 stars Nice, simple reversible wok ring.
There's really not much to say -- this is just a simple, reversible aluminum wok ring. It does what it's supposed to just fine on both gas and electric ranges. It's big enough even when inverted to fit over the large burners on most stoves.

3.0 out of 5 stars Wok Ring Review
The wok ring is OK for a 14 inch or smaller wok. Even though it was recommended for my 16 inch wok, it is too small and as a result, the wok bowl sits too high over my gas flame. My wok actually works better without the wok ring. If you have a smaller wok, I believe the bowl of the wok would be closer to the flames.

I've been trying to get away from teflon flat bottom woks and go with the traditional iron round woks. The issue is that the wok was too unstable on my stove. Buying this wok ring worked wonders for making it much more stable. I can now place it on my stove flipped upside down from the posted photo and get the gas flame directly on the iron wok. If I bring the wok to the table I bring the wok ring and place it as shown in the original photo to make an easy way of serving food from the wok.

Works great on my 15" wok on a Kenmore iron top gas range.

This is your average wok ring. It works fine and is worth the inexpensive ammount of money. It makes stir fry so much better

I used this to adapt my old wok to my new Jenn Air gas stove. It works very well. My only concern is that the aluminum really heats up (glowing red) on the 15,000 BTU burner. The Jenn Air steel adapter was $50. This does the trick and I would recommend to others.

4.0 out of 5 stars Almost perfect wok ring, July 6, 2009
This review is from: Wok Ring
The wok ring I purchased was really what I was looking for. It would be perfect if it was just a little taller. I've used it and am satisfied.

Negative: Lost its shiny look.

Positive: Cheap and does its job.

Articles like these tend to last a long time and I feel it worth spending a few more $s (for something used on a daily basis)

1.0 out of 5 stars it slides while cooking, January 3, 2011

If you like to stir fry with rough action and not holding the wok with another hand, then this wok ring won't work. Both sides of my wok handles are the D shape. So I get oil popping at times when I hold the wok. I was hoping this wok ring can stabilize my wok without the need to hold it but the ring slides instead. I haven't tried attaching it to my stove range with a wire. It might work.

Works well enough. Not for use with Indian woks. Really is to be used for the larger Chinese woks with handles.

2.0 out of 5 stars Wok ring doesn't work well on our gas stove., February 27, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Wok Ring
Wok ring doesn't allow an even air flow so the gas flame from our stove puts the flame all in one area of the wok and this area is not at the bottom of the Wok! Have tried it upside down also and it did not help. Not sure if is the size of our stove grates or the wok ring. On a level surface the wok ring does hold the wok until it cools down at least.
