okay okay I've heard that this game freezes when the opponent makes a substitution. It's untrue! I've ahd this game since it came out and I'm happy to say no glitches. I think the people who write these bad reviews are people who dont know baseball very well. I love this game!

I already read the comments from other users and as a first impression I have several doubts about buying the UMD.

However, by now I already played by my own and it is really outstanding. I have also the regular PS2 version and the differences are minimal.

With this version the gameplay is really excellent, the visual graphics are smooth and detailed, the voice of the EA staff is great according to what is really happening on the game and overall is GREAT, specially when you can visualise a WIDESCREEN gameplay (equal to FIFA for PSP) you will enjoy it.

If you have the chance to get it: GO FOR IT !!!

Once again, EA does an amazing job of making an MVP Baseball game. This time they make a very addicting handheld version of MVP with amazing graphics and everything that you could want. This is one game you want to pick up.

This game always freezes after a computer substitution. I wouldn't be surprised if there is a class action lawsuit. I'm selling mine on eBay. You have been fairly warned.

I love baseball, and usually MVP gets my nod every year for being fun and exciting. But this portable version trying to take after it's bigger cousin, falls flat on it's face and EA Sports should no better than to release this 1/2 arsed effort.

So what's wrong? How about the choppy graphics after the first pitch? How about the batting game being boring. It makes hitting an extremely simple process against the computer. The computer pitchers usually pitch about 2 strikes for every four pitches, so your guaranteed a hit every time. I hit five home runs in a row for three games straight and the challenge was just not there. I just felt an overall lack of any fun, it was just a batting farce, not a true baseball sim.


So, They simply slapped the "MVP" name on the box and knew it would sell, and that is being nice. The game looks pretty bad for a PSP game. The player models look good, but the in game action is no where near the quality of MLB baseball. The load times as mentioned by some are very long and unforgiving and the gameplay seems choppy when the ball hits the field. There is no franchise (which is unforgiving) and the gameplay is lathargic at best. The game itself looks like an old Playstation title on the PSOne, which is unacceptable because many of the sports titles like NBA Street and NFL Street look 10 times better than this. Like I said, defintely feels like a rush job, E.A. can do much better. I did like the sound effects and commentary, but the crowd noise is repetitive, it sounds like the fans were recorded at 3 second intervals and played over and over. Even crazier, the game froze up on me twice!!! Really!

**Bottomline: Wait for something else or give MLB for PSP a try. MVP Baseball is anything but the MVP this year, it's back to the minors for E.A.

This is a great game and you should not let anyone tell you otherwise. this game is for any people from the age of 3 to the age of 99 its a game which will captivate a person for hours without end so if your looking for your first game for your psp this it it and if you have bought other games and still have not bought this you have to buy it because the graphics are good the commentry is good its an overall great game.

MVP baseball is a great game! I'm really not a huge fan of sports, but this game makes me think otherwise. It takes a while to get use to the controls, but once you know how to play you'll love it! You can create your own baseball player and you can play multiplayer games such as Homerun Showdown! Its great! It even has great graphics. Usually in a game such as baseball the announcers just say the same thing over and over again, but in this game the announcers actually say things that are based on your teams plays, which is really cool!

Whats bad about this game is that if the baseball is in a corner the characters continue to run into a wall and dont pick it up. If you've never played a baseball game, then this game may confuse you. The comands for pitching dont really explain themeselves. But overall this game is great! You should buy it if you like baseball for sure!

Ok, to make it short and sweet, this is a great game. A few little flaws like graphics slowing down happens,but not often. I wouldnt buy this game as a first though, because more will be coming out to wait for. But if you know the MVP-series of games, then give this a go doggs.

This game has okay graphics but it freezes everytime you hit start or every hit or when you begin the game. It took four minutes to load up the start. EA could have put a little more time into this like puuting owners mode into the game instead of rewards like players you can't even choose. I could have played Mickey Mantle but it just won't let me.Even though there are a lot of rewards like 119 jersey's from the 1900's and 2 legendary teams, 30 stadiums( I'm not sure if this is precise) The graphics are definetly choppy, the backgrounds look like a kid drew them. The players animation are great. I only have 2 PSP games and 1 movie so this is definatly better than Spider Man. The most easiest game on the PSP. Too easy. I'd pick this game up. Graphics- 4/5

As soon as I first played this game I couldn't put it down. I played game after game after game. Now a lot of people say this game is bad because of bad loading time and the game freezes. I have had this game for about 3 weeks and not once has it ever had slow/bad loading time or froze up. This is a great baseball game with excellent graphics. If you don't have it buy it as soon as you can. GO GIANTS!!!!!
