Review
Adam, on his 12th birthday, is presented with a tantalizing proposition. A mysterious royal stranger challenges him to travel around the world, unaccompanied by adults and without flying, in just 40 days. The Prince selected Adam because he, in addition to thirsting for adventure, could be alone without being lonely. There is a bonus. If Adam completes the journey, he wins four million dollars. That clinches the deal. With the MVP organization supplying funds, directions, tickets, and helping him duck out of summer camp, Adam sets out to circle the globe. What his contact neglects to mention is that there are numerous children involved, all sponsored by royals who will lose their titles if their candidates lose. Add to the mix rules, referees, judges, and stoppers, teens who try to delay the travelers using deception and blowgun darts. Detailed b&w illustrations add humor and set the mood for this fast paced, fun adventure story. --
