2008 Rebecca Caudill Young Readers' Book Award Nominee,
A Kid's Review
This review is from: MVP: Magellan Voyage Project (Paperback)
I read this book this year in fifth grade because it is one of the Rebecca Caudill Award picks. I think it's very exciting and well-written. It's about a boy who must travel around the world in forty day by land and sea only to win a big prize! It becomes a real adventure. Read this book! Not five stars because the last chapter was confusing.

What an adventure,
A Kid's Review
This review is from: MVP: Magellan Voyage Project (Paperback)
This is the best adventure book I've ever read. I'm glad my teacher suggested that I read it. It's about a boy who tried to go around the world in 40 days. But there are many people who are trying to stop him. If you like traveling and adventure, MVP: Magellan Voyage Project is a book you should read.

2009 Nutmeg Award Nominee,
A Kid's Review
This review is from: MVP: Magellan Voyage Project (Paperback)
I live in Connecticut and I saw this books was a nominee for the 2009 Nutmeg Award. It's about a 12-year-old boy who is challenged to circled the world in under forty day by taking only land and sea transportation. It's very unusual, very exciting, and one of those books that's easy to read and hard to put down.

MVP,
A Kid's Review
This review is from: MVP: Magellan Voyage Project (Paperback)
I've read lots of great books this month, but MVP by Douglas Evans was one of the best. When Adam meets a prince called Prince Olioli Oh, the prince and his company makes Adam go around the world in forty days. He leaves a poker chip on each time zone he stops at. Adam soon finds out that he is competing in a race which a lot of twelve year old players race around the world. If the player wins, they get four million dollars. After he starts, Adam finds out that traveling around the world is far more dangerous than he thought it would be. There are stoppers, who are teenagers that illegally shoot you with shoot you with a sleeping dart that slows you down, and there are trackers, who capture you and send you to a detention center. Will Adam win the four million dollars, or will he lose?

There's something wonderful about this book. It really got me thinking about traveling, adventure, and things I want to do in my life. I thank Douglas Evans for writing such a wonderful book and I think you would enjoy it, too, Tonight I'm going to make a list of things I want to do just like Adam Story.

A Kid's Review
This review is from: MVP: Magellan Voyage Project (Paperback)
This is the perfect book to read during the summer. It's about travel and adventure. A boy fakes being at summer camp and tries to travel around the world in 40 days. The action never stops and you learn a lot about the world, like you can stand on the Prime Meridian. Read this!

Make a movie!,
A Kid's Review
This review is from: MVP: Magellan Voyage Project (Paperback)
This is a great adventure book that all kids, especially boys would like. Adam Story tries to go around the world by ground and sea transportation only. But it's a lot more than that. A lot more! But I won't give away the adventure. Disney please make this into a movie!!!!!!!
