"Mystery in London" is a Hidden Object game in which you search for various things cleverly hidden in the various environments.Even though I love Hidden Object games, what intrigued me about this game was the incredible scenes of Westminster Abbey, especially the Henry VII Chapel, Piccadilly Circus and the exterior of Buckingham Palace. You will be searching for objects all over London, including pubs and posh stores. The objects are very hard to find but you have the option of panning 360 degrees so you are able to swivel around with your eyes just the way you'd do in person. You'll learn quite a bit as you do along as many interesting facts are presented, but in order to proceed you have to solve a series of mini-puzzles tied to the plot of the player's tracking down the identity of Jack the Ripper. The mini-puzzles are not very hard but you simply have to get through them. You can opt to not do a certain number of them. The plot is slightly on the weak side but it is better than the plots of most Hidden Object games. What makes this game extraordinary is the scenes. The Henry VII Chapel alone is worth the price of the game. You also get to visit the small Peter ad Vincula Chapel where the beheaded Anne Boleyn, Katherine Howard, and Lady Jane Grey are buried under the floor. It's almost like being there! You stand there and you think "those poor queens are right under my feet!" "Mystery in London" unlike many Hidden Object games, is not one that will appeal to children. This game is for the connoisseur, one who appreciates simply splendid panoramic graphic art. And it's perfect for the Anglophile and the lover of London.

This is a favorite of many Hidden Object games that I own, because of it's beauty alone. It is amazing to see, plus I love hearing that British accent of the narrator!First of all, despite that this game is about the unsolved case of Jack The Ripper(unless you believe the conclusion of the game)it is completely family safe. There are no gruesome details or photos in it,so enjoy this beauty with the whole family. The mini puzzles are simple enough for me to solve alone, without help, and I am a game-genie and/or game walk-through player!Plus you can skip many. There are many, many places to visit, some returns also,so this is a pretty long and involved game, not one you can plan to just blow an hour or so playing, unless you have the willpower to walk away. The beauty and sound of this game must be experienced. I lived in England for 2 years and the scenes are real places, and I really enjoyed the gameplay. I don't believe any fan of Hidden Object games could fault this one in any way. Do yourself, your family and your gaming friends a favor and treat yourself to Mystery In London. I believe you will be glad that you did. It will be hard for any game to beat the graphics by Big Fish Games on this one!

Mystery in London is in many ways, a cut above other hidden object games. The storyline itself (the search for the identity of Jack the Ripper) is fairly interesting, but the way the game designers make you search for objects is what is so neat. Each location features a 360 degree view of the location; you use arrows on all four sides of your screen to look up, down, and around. In addition, some levels require you to find objects that are moving or that are shown to you only in silhouette (which was VERY HARD sometimes). My favorite thing about this game, however, is the fact that it is very meaty; you get a LOT of object finding and a ton of locations to look through. Each time you complete a location, you get a neat little fact about that place. I really did want to hop on a plane to London while playing and see these real-world locations for myself! The game took me quite a while to finish, and I felt like I really did get a ton of game for my money. I would absolutely recommend this game to anyone who likes a fun challenge.
