This book starts off with a 'wow' and just keeps getting better. Sam's reactions as he learns about his quest are funny, but true to life. I like him very much as a character and can't wait to read the next book!

Sam Wilson is a character to watch. This down-on-his-luck hero is hilarious in his battles against Lucifer and his minions. I look forward to the next book in this series.

This book was such a hit! Great story, and really funny! I couldn't put it down once I started it. I have a crush on Sam! Will there be more I hope?

I rarely read fiction, but took a chance with this book, could not put it down, and I hated that it ended. Can't wait for the next one. Well written, exciting, great imagery,and funny. Felt like I was in the book, not just reading it! Must read for everyone. This author, Kathleen Pickering, has an uncanny way of capturing your attention. Check out her other books!

Sam's a reluctant hero who is none too sure of himself as he embarks on a white-knuckled ride filled with humor, action, danger, and even romance. The pacing and imagery of the book initially hooked me, but it was the underlying message of courage, loyalty and love that resonated and kept me turning pages to see how this endearing hero would prevail. Along the way, Sam and a host of other characters kept me smiling!

Mythological Sam is a great mix of contemporary life mixed with the supernatural in a way that flows nicely and leaves the reader hoping to hear more about Sam and his compatriots. Well written and hard to put down.

This is a wonderful new Urban Fantasy series about demons and angels. Sam, an ordinary highschool teacher finds himself drawn into a world where demons are out to destroy his city, San Francisco- and he, with his guardian angel - must help save his city and ultimately mankind from a demon takeover. Great story- I can't wait to read more!

I got this book on the recommendation from a friend and was not disappointed! Characters and storyline so well thought out , leaves you wanting to jump to books 2 and 3 immediately. The characters in this book are so well realized , it's bound to be made into a movie. But as usual, read the book first.

I think I am really liking this writer. This is the second book I've read of hers and I am completely hooked! Fabulous read, Kathleen Pickering, thoroughly enjoyable.

The main character, Sam, stole my heart! Lot's of twists and turns, this book will keep you turning the pages! Couldn't put it down! Hurry up with the sequel!
