4.0 out of 5 stars Worth the money!
My husband and needed to pull out about 50 t-posts, but didn't want to spend the time and energy using shovels and pry bars. I looked at some other brands but decided on this on because of the lower cost. It was worth every penny! We got all 50 t-posts out in about 45 minutes! We found that putting the foot near the base of the t-post was best.

2.0 out of 5 stars Great idea, but not for my fence posts
I tried removing a couple of tee style fence posts with this. They wouldn't budge in the slightest. It looks like it has a good mechanical advantage, but even with my full body weight my posts stood their ground. It looks like I just did too good a job driving them in.

P.S. These posts have an arrow shaped blade which made them easier to drive into the...

Day after it arrived, I went into some thick woods with a friend and we pulled out 19 T-posts that had been in the ground for more that 50 years. A few posts took both of us on the handle at the same time, but the whole job was completed in less than 20 minutes.

Anyone who has tried to remove t-posts by digging them up knows what a chore it is. This puller turns hours of backbreaking labor into a few minutes of fun. Sturdy metal construction, strong weld points. It might not work with clay or other very dense soil during the summer. I had this problem, so I waited until after a good rainfall and the posts came up almost effortlessly. It pulls the posts straight up so they can be reused. Well worth the price and saved me lots of time and energy. Great product, highly recommended!

when I received this item I was shocked at how well built it was. The flange that grabs the t-post is very thick, probably half an inch of steel. There is also a hook attached to the flange for attaching a cable or chain to pull other types of posts. The foot of the post puller also has a small hole where you can attach a board or larger base material if you are on soft, soupy ground. I have used it twice and the t-posts come out very easily. So far I think it is much better than I expected.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great item, but why so expensive!?, May 26, 2011

Puller works as advertised and was $10 less than the same thing at my local retail store. Even at $40 I don't understand why the price is so high for such a simple tool.

Enough complaining about the price. The puller works great and the ratcheting action works perfectly on t posts. I pulled several t posts that were 3-4 feet in the ground with very little effort. The best part of course is that it does not damage the t posts and they can be re-used.

This is the right tool for pulling T-posts. It's easy to use, it's safe and sturdy too. There are some
flimsy built pullers on the market that cost more than this one. This one is built to last.

This product is very nice. This works super well. It cost about $30 but it is way worth the dollars. This saves my backbone from being broken. I cannot believe this product is only about $30!! Only one complain I would make is that the hook part sometimes cannot hold a metal post very well. The metal post slides sometimes. But, even in the situation, if I put a piece of a metal bar through a hole in the metal post (in my case Unistrut), this device can pull up the post well.

This makes the job of fencing, never a perfect science, so easy even a girl can do it. Love my post puller, now I can set fencing without fear of making mistakes, because now it's so easy to fix them. A must have.

Terrific post puller for 1/2 the price of the same kinds of units in the local tractor store! As a matter of fact this unit is actually lighter (but not a lower build quality) - which is awesome for pulling / moving t-posts in rotational grazing at the far end of the pasture.
I'd recommend this to anyone... if you can't get a t-post to pull with this you are doing something WRONG!

I have even been able to pull and move round/smooth grounding rods and other posts with this thing... just got slow and steady, make sure the head has a good starting bite and press down on the lever... sure, some are "sticker" to the soil than others but this sure beats the heck out of using a tractor loader and rope/strap.

Wish I bought one of these years ago!

Made a big job a small job. Should have bought one years ago. I highly recommend this product. In the past, we used the tractor and a chain to pull posts. This post puller was easier than using the tractor for the T-posts. If you have big wood posts you will want an extension bar to give you more leverage. I still use the tractor for big posts, especially if they are cemented.
