This product should be in every home where there are children. So easy and safe to use. I have discarded all of our old thermometers that were collected over the years. There is no hassle of "under the arm", "in the mouth or ear", or especially stuck "somewhere else". Our grandchild just pauses whatever he is doing, very still for the few seconds it takes for a reading, then it's done.

I use this in my clinic. It appears accurate.

Definitely has the "Wow, I've never seen this" factor, lol for a lot of patients. But I like it as its sanitary & it doesn't touch patients to use.

Upon receiving it, we performed temperature readings on a dozen people. It registered that nobody's body temperature was above 98 degrees and the average was 97.4 Unfortunately there does not appear to be any way to calibrate it and their customer service number takes you to voice mail.

I bought this thermometer for my little daughter during a trip to the US sealed and NIB. Upon my return to Athens Greece I registered online for the warranty. I used it for the first time three weeks after purchase and it kept giving wrong indications no matter how many times I read and followed the instructions. Everyone it was tested on seemed to have exactly same temperature and when it "worked" deviations from one measurement to another were too high ! I contacted Mabis call center in the US (at my cost) who would accept to have it checked (if I sent it) but they informed me they would not ship it back to me (sender)as they do not ship overseas ! I offered to cover the costs for having it shipped to the US but they would not send it back to Athens, Greece no matter what.
So, do not bother with it unless you live in the US or like buying useless things... from companies that show little respect for their international customers.
I believe Amazon should not allow items to be sold in its site and exported from the US to "other destinations" in which manufacturer guarantee is useless". At this moment you can buy this for approx 60,00 + shipment to Europe +26,00 US but you have no warranty !
