I bought a cane for, well, huge people (700 lbs?). But the handle of the cane was a hard plastic, not at all in keeping with the wonderful double catch mechanism of the cane, which is very quiet, to shorten / expand the cane. This works, the price is a major bargain. Now my hand which DOES get quite a work out on the grip, is well protected, comfortable. I wet the painted cane surface, it slid on fairly easily, and was dry within a few minutes. No hair spray needed, (old bicycle trick to apply new grips). I'm rather pleased with this. This is an open ended grip, so you need an end cap (a plastic plug of some sort). The maker of the cane could have improved their product by using this, and saved money, too.
