Splurge on the cover, not the bottle. This one works and the price is great.,
By Kathryn B. (Jupiter, Florida United States) - See all my reviews This bottle is made of thinner material and is slightly smaller. Being thinner makes it more flexible, to wrap better around my toes. This also makes it potentially messier to fill, the opening lip keeps wanting to occlude the filling hole. Haven't noticed a difference in how long the water stays hot. The opening for filling is smaller and the screw to close the bottle is plastic. You must fill the bottle with a slower stream of water to avoid splashing, but that's not a big deal. The screw requires me to actually look at what I am doing, but it has held up with no leaks. This bottle is also a tiny bit narrower and shorter than my old one. They say they hold the same amount of water and I think that is due to this one being more flexible. It can get fatter than my old one. Yes, there is a smell to the materials, but it is the smell all new rubberish materials have. Or am I the only one old enough to remember? Anyway, the smell does diminish significantly in time. This arrives new, sealed in plastic from the factory, and the smell is strong when first opened. But it does diminish. Over all, I am thrilled with this water bottle, especially when you factor in the price. Yes, I know they are now making "fashion" hot water bottles, for over double the price, but REALLY!!! If you want fashion, then get a cute cover. You don't hold a "naked" hot water bottle. You are going to wrap it in something or get a cover for it. Even for my toes I use a cover. Splurge on the cover, but don't waste your money on the bottle. For what it is, this is a functional item at a truly fantastic price and I definitely recommend it.

It's a hot water bottle!,

Who knew it could be so hard to find a basic hot water bottle at a drug store? But it is! So I was happy to find these online.
I knitted several "cozies" for these for holiday gifts, it holds the heat in nicely and it just makes it more enjoyable to curl up with something soft and pretty rather than the plain hot water bottle. The price on these is fabulous, and you get the best value if you order several and save on shipping. Shipping from this seller, by the way, is nice and speedy!
