Among his many talents, Chris Breen is a contributing editor for Macworld, where he reviews entertainment and music software and writes the monthly "Mac 911" column. A well-known writer and leader in the Macintosh community, he is also a contributor to the upcoming book, The Macintosh Bible, 8th Edition.

Christopher Breen has been writing about Apple and technology since the latter days of the Reagan Administration. Contributor to such publications as Macworld and PC World, as a Macworld Senior Editor he pens Macworld's popular Mac 911 and Playlists columns and blogs. He hosts the Macworld Podcast and owns dozens of iPods. In his non-writing life he's a professional musician playing in the San Francisco Bay Area.

As of fall 2005, this book is now way outdated unless you are still running Classic. Less than half of this is about system X and then it's the earliest versions. Things have changed.

Simply outstanding!!Not only very VERY helpful and packed with useful stuff from cover to end but also you will laugh like crazy reading it. Chris' sense of humour makes the most boring of subjects a funny and easy to read text. The only drawbacks that I can think of is the fact that the book is mainly Os 9 oriented. We'll just have to wait for the new version.
