The MacArthur Scripture Memory System is an important and highly recommended multimedia collection for Christians that presents 52 powerful, meaningful, and inspirational Biblical passages, as selected by Pastor MacArthur, and in a format conducive to study and memorization so that one can better keep the word of God hidden in one's heart. The entire kit includes 3 audio CDs with over three hours of John MacArthur's insight into the significance of the 52 selections, business-size cards with printed passages that can be taken anywhere, a 24-page booklet with a straightforward plan to memorize the passages, and an interactive CD-ROM with dynamic desktop wallpaper and screen saver featuring the text of each passage, and which changes weekly. The MacArthur Scripture Memory System is a superbly useful study package.

As with all of Dr. John Macarthur's works, this is

packed with life changing Biblical TRUTHS, wisdom and sound doctrine.

I really enjoy John MacArthur and could not wait to load this software on my new Dell laptop (dual core Pentium with Windows XP Pro). However, the software did not work properly. It just changed the screen background to a blank white, switched the screensaver to a nice Scripture text roll, and used 48% of my computer's resources. That's right 48%! My system ran incredibly slowly as soon as the software loaded. There is zero documentation for the software, no help in the program, and no help online (that I could find on the web site or in the packet of included stuff). I never got to see it work.

I love John Macarthur. He was one of the first I learned from on radio, in books and I can't say enough about his study Bible.

This software completely hung my computer. It is a new Lenovo R60 running WXP Pro. It is one thing for software not to work, but to stop everything else. You may ask about support (support, support, support...). No excuse.

Given how much I respect JM, I remain very disappointed.

I am buying another set for my friend... I have had this set for a year and have had it on my Mac at work AND my PC at home and it has never given me any problems. I was shocked to see the bad reviews.*

The audio alone is worth it and easily loaded into my iTunes and played on my iPod. That was the best way for me to memorize these Bible verses. Each verse also has a brief commentary by McArthur. The screen savers are beautiful (you also get the original .jpg images) and the presentation of the verses on screen is good, but far less effective for memorization. A nice reminder. I used the cards occasionally too.

*If you CAN'T get it to work on your computer, return it or give it to someone else... a meaningful $25 gift that could change someone's life. Don't bash the creators, the concept AND the material b/c you couldn't get it to work. Nothing can transform one's life like spending time in God's Word.

This is a great system except it took me a while to figure out that the software was not compatible with Internet Explorer 7. Works fine with Firefox or Google Chrome.

Materials and topics are excellent; not compatible with all computers and it may change some of your basic settings, so take a backup before you install and take some caution while attempting to install.

Without a doubt, John MacArthur is one of the greatest living Bible expositors. This is the NKJV, which as scholars agree is one of the most accurate of the modern day translations. Also nice is that traditional King James Only followers will be able to "chime along" with this translation.

The CD's are compiled in a very nice 52 week plan, at the end of each passage, John gives a brief insight on each text. Wonderfully done I might add. I would highly recommend this product and I am looking forward to another release with an additional 52 verses. Excellent, excellent ... in Jesus' Name!

This system is helping me to memorize scripture. I love the memory cards. I laminated mine so that they will not wear out. They are small like a business card. The audio helps to know what is being taught. I would buy again.

this system is so old i don't think it would even work on vista. took over two hrs to get it off my windows 7 64 bit system. no wonder no other sites offer it. return it. never even got past messed up intro.
