Excellent with the exception of the backlight wires,

I used to work as an applecare repair tech, so I know my way around apple laptops and when a freak pull caused my laptop to slide off a table, breaking the screen, I decided to go with 3rd party parts and save some money compared to buying the parts from apple. Well the screen fits fine, the connectors are fine, with the exception of the gigantic backlight wires. The OEM wires are tiny, maybe 1/4 the diameter of these, and anyone who knows apple knows that the tolerances are very tight. The shrinktubing on the wires makes them impossible to fit in the tiny space that apple provides, so I had to remove that and coat the connections with cyanoacrylate glue, which is similar to superglue, or there would be a bulge in the bezel. Though I saved something by using this screen over OEM parts, the extra hassle wasn't worth it to me. The color is fine and I have no complaints about it other than the wire size.
Some advice on the replacement: -Keep your parts in a fishing tackle box, using a small post-it to indicate where each group of parts came from -I'm not sure where ifixit came up with their ideas on how to replace the screen, but there is absolutely no reason to remove the optical drive, ram, disconnect every cable, etc. All you need to do is first remove the top case, unscrew the 6 screws holding the bezel brace on, then remove the screen bezel and unscrew the screen. Taking the whole laptop apart is a waste of time and you are more likely to cause problems later on as you have trouble putting it back together.

When the Apple store told me it was $750 for this screen, I responded "Are you insane?" So I found this one for a fraction of the price. It takes about 30 minutes to install the first one and it does not come with directions. However, if you take your time, and if you are able to do small electrical or other home repairs, you should have no issues. A few tricks: Use a plastic knife, or other thin plastic blade to remove the trim plate slowly. To reinstall it when you are done, you will need to remove the grey plastic clips carefully from the bezel and reuse them by spreading out the prongs a tiny bit if they collapsed. If you skip this step, you will break the clips. It did not come with the camera, so you need to remove it. To do so, you need to remove the bracket which hold it in place, not remove the camera from the bracket. Other than that, you need to remove a ton of tiny screws and 2 electrical connections after removing the safety tape. You need to make sure the wires are routed as they were before to avoid damaging them upon reinstallation. The hinge cover is a bit tricky as it slides and clips in place. Just watch the part that goes to the back of the cover underneath. It must slid on first before you clip it in place again. The first time was a bit tricky. However, I could do it in my sleep now.

This is the correct screen for replacing a Macbook (black) 13.3in, which is not a particularly hard replacement to do. it took about 20 for me to take it apart and installed.
