Excellent with the exception of the backlight wires,

I used to work as an applecare repair tech, so I know my way around apple laptops and when a freak pull caused my laptop to slide off a table, breaking the screen, I decided to go with 3rd party parts and save some money compared to buying the parts from apple. Well the screen fits fine, the connectors are fine, with the exception of the gigantic backlight wires. The OEM wires are tiny, maybe 1/4 the diameter of these, and anyone who knows apple knows that the tolerances are very tight. The shrinktubing on the wires makes them impossible to fit in the tiny space that apple provides, so I had to remove that and coat the connections with cyanoacrylate glue, which is similar to superglue, or there would be a bulge in the bezel. Though I saved something by using this screen over OEM parts, the extra hassle wasn't worth it to me. The color is fine and I have no complaints about it other than the wire size.
Some advice on the replacement: -Keep your parts in a fishing tackle box, using a small post-it to indicate where each group of parts came from -I'm not sure where ifixit came up with their ideas on how to replace the screen, but there is absolutely no reason to remove the optical drive, ram, disconnect every cable, etc. All you need to do is first remove the top case, unscrew the 6 screws holding the bezel brace on, then remove the screen bezel and unscrew the screen. Taking the whole laptop apart is a waste of time and you are more likely to cause problems later on as you have trouble putting it back together.

When the Apple store told me it was $750 for this screen, I responded "Are you insane?" So I found this one for a fraction of the price. It takes about 30 minutes to install the first one and it does not come with directions. However, if you take your time, and if you are able to do small electrical or other home repairs, you should have no issues. A few tricks: Use a plastic knife, or other thin plastic blade to remove the trim plate slowly. To reinstall it when you are done, you will need to remove the grey plastic clips carefully from the bezel and reuse them by spreading out the prongs a tiny bit if they collapsed. If you skip this step, you will break the clips. It did not come with the camera, so you need to remove it. To do so, you need to remove the bracket which hold it in place, not remove the camera from the bracket. Other than that, you need to remove a ton of tiny screws and 2 electrical connections after removing the safety tape. You need to make sure the wires are routed as they were before to avoid damaging them upon reinstallation. The hinge cover is a bit tricky as it slides and clips in place. Just watch the part that goes to the back of the cover underneath. It must slid on first before you clip it in place again. The first time was a bit tricky. However, I could do it in my sleep now.

This is the correct screen for replacing a Macbook (black) 13.3in, which is not a particularly hard replacement to do. it took about 20 for me to take it apart and installed.

The apple macbook was dropped and the screen was ruined. Apple wanted $800 to repair it. I bought this new screen for less than $100. I found a video on utube that showed how to change the screen. I bought the special tool kit. You also need a curved pick that you can find at an auto parts store. The new screen works perfect.

BUY IT!
I'd looked all around the local Mac shops and online, and the used LCDs sold by WEGENER here on Amazon were the best deal. WEGENER shipped it in 2 days (I selected the 2-6 business days option, but WOW!) This screen is excellent! I paid $75 total for it, and spent about an hour last night installing it on my 2.4 GHZ 13.3" Black Macbook. I powered it on, the screen took 5 seconds to calibrate, and BLING! the computer was back to life. The picture on this replacement LCD appears to be just as crisp and clean as the original screen that came with the Macbook. Overall, I am very, very pleased. The tutorial I found online made installation quite simple and fail proof. Buy from WEGENER. It's a great deal!

Swapping your LCD screen in the macbook is not for everyone, though with patience, proper system to label screws, the correct tools (some screwdrivers), and a careful hand, you can save lot of money by swapping it yourself than having it done at an Apple retailer. In my case the savings is almost as much as a new macbook.
Advice: -do- follow the instructions on the website, it will save you lot of time.

I was very pleased at how fast I received my shipment. The screen was supposed to be shipped in 3-5 days and actually made it in 2 which was faster then the ram I just ordered from Crucial which was supposed to ship within one. I would have given this product a 5 out of 5 but the screen did seem a little dull and washed out compared to my old macbook screen, but with a little tweaking in the color calibrator I was able to get some decent color out of it. If you need a 13.3 inch screen go with these guys. I have searched everywhere and they have the best deal ever!

Prompt delivery, and relatively easy installation! Screen is still working great a month later. Screen was shipped quickly and arrived damage-free in a good amount of padding. Used it to replace the screen on my 2009 13" White Macbook.

I purchased a used MacBook with a screen with some dead pixels and a gouge. Also, the screen was yellowish instead of bright white on the white areas. I researched how I could replace the screen myself and found the screen sold on Amazon had the lowest price. Amazon also sold the tools I would need to replace the screen. The screen arrived in a few days and I was able to replace it after watching some videos on doing it. The new Amazon-purchased LCD screen works great and is bright white! Great product and saves a lot of money doing it yourself!
