A lot people trashed this movie, and I felt I had to throw my two cents in! I grew up watching 80's action flicks actually in the 80's and loved all the 80's action movie cliches and nods thrown in this movie! They even started the movie off with the whole "You're the best, and we need you back" schtick!! Cool!!! The people that trashed the movie just didn't understand the over the top humor, that's all. Ok, YES this movie is stupid. YES it has toilet humor. BUT it is SO over the top stupid that it's hilarious! If you like over the top 80's action movies, then why NOT give MacGruber a try??? I mean, MacGruber has a mullet, 16 purple hearts, and 3 Medals of honor! That in itself is so ridiculous it's AWESOME!! And the way MacGruber finishes the badguy? Well, let's just say any 80's action fan would be proud! I really liked all the actors too! They took it to the next level of sheer silliness! Mad Martigan (Val Kilmer) as the bad guy?? Perfect!!! There were only a couple of parts in the movie where I said "Hmmm..." but the rest? AWESOME!!! If you're not sure, rent it first, but any TRUE 80's action fan will understand the humor and laugh out loud! Give MacGruber a chance!!

I went into watching this movie absolutely kicking and screaming. I had heard the SNL skits were not all that clever, and most spin-offs suffer an equally horrible demise at the box-office. I think the R-rating is what really helped Will Forte deliver his vision of what MacGruber stood for, and by all means, this turned out to be hands down one of the funniest comedies I have seen. I am almost embarrassed to say that I watched this movie four times last week.

Awesome!!! I loved it. I went into it expecting a complete piece of crap and that may have skewed my opinion, but it was the funniest movie I've seen in years. You should watch it, you won't regret it.

This movie at first seems horrible. Then the slow realization that it may be one of the better movies ever made starts to creep over you. Then it hits you. MacGruber is tits. If you think this movie is stupid, you deserve to have Will Forte rip your throat out with his bare hands. Three times. That's called a Turkey baby.

I went into watching this thinking i'm not sure if i'm going to think this movies funny, but I'm happy to say this movie is Very funny & quite awesome. I'd like to see them make another. =)

It's not the Godfather or even a comedy masterpiece such as Caddy Shack or The Hangover, but the movie based on the 30 second Saturday Night Live clips will make you laugh.

Thought dead, MacGruber (Will Forte) is sought after by the US Military to stop arch enemy Dieter Von Cunth (a plump Val Kilmer) before he launches a stole nuke to the US Capitol. Along the way, he rips throats and makes a fool of himself accompanied by Lt. Dixon Piper (Ryan Phillippe) and Vicki St. Elmo (Kristin Wiig).

First time feature director Jorma Taccone (SNL Digital Shorts' The Lonely Island Boys) weaves a competent story--nothing new--but the movie is really moved along by the outlandishness and ineptitude of Forte and his interactions with his teammates (not to mention the instant-classic comedic sex scene).

All in all, you will not be inspired by MacGruber, but it'll make you laugh--what else can you ask from a comedy.

For all you MacGuyver fans... Hope you have a strong stomach... This satire goes alitle too far at times but I have friends that like that in a movie.

I am very please with the price and shipping speed of this Seller and would use them for my DVD movie needs.

This is a parody, therefore there will be 'moronic' and 'idiotic' moments, like many of the 1 star reviewers stated, but isn't that the point of a parody? Space Balls, Robin Hood: Men in Tights, Hot Shots, Airplane, etc, don't all those films have there so called moronic and idiotic scenes? It's supposed to be to make it funnier! (Besides, moronic, stupid, idiotic, whatever you want to call it, it's hilarious!)

It has been a while since I laughed so hard during a movie. Many people praised 'The Hangover' for being hysterical and yet I did not laugh until the ending credits scene. This movie made me laugh the most and I don't remember a film that made me laugh so hard even when I watched it again.

I never witnessed MacGruber on SNL, so I didn't know what exactly to expect, apart from for what I saw on the trailer. With that said I don't think you have to be a fan of the mini sketch or have watched it for that matter to enjoy this movie.

Watch MacGruber and try NOT to laugh!

It's actually a very good action comedy. I had mixed feelings for the movie, but overall the movie is fun. It is stupid over the top and filled with action, as well as mixed with the comedy. What I loved about the movie is the 80's thing. It gave the right feeling. There are many people which reviewed this movie as bad. But it's not bad. It is a parody. It is made for laugh. Yes there are stupid things in this movie, as well as mix of other things. But that's why it's so good. I like what they've done to it. It is not the best movie I've seen, but it's worth buying or renting. There were times where I thought how stupid it was and times where I was disappointed. Like when the van with his friends blow into pieces by MacGruber's c-4. His first team of friends could have played funny roles but were blown into pieces by the script. I didn't like that. But then he get's another team, smaller(which I also didn't like much)but characters were funny as well. You have to watch this movie in order to understand if it's something you'll like. Do not avoid because of some bad reviews.

I've seen the MacGruber clips on SNL for awhile. I was surprised when I heard they were making the movie. I didn't think the clips were long enough to mold a movie from them. I was actually a little surprised, I didn't expect much, but this movie was pretty funny. You have to appreciate the 80's to see the humor. If you have never watch those 80's action movies & tv shows, then you may not "get it". Is this the best comedy I have seen? The funniest? No. However, if you are a SNL fan or can appreciate over the top comedy, then it's worth checking out.
