Item shipped in a timely manner and my non-broken one works well/as describes. Item is heavy as another reviewer described, but as it is metal, I expected as much. It's stylish and comes with a usb slot to plug in mice or keyboards or whatever since it will require you to use one of your computer's usb slots in order to work (something I appreciate as my laptop's usb slots are limited).

I am giving 4/5 starts for a culmination of a few things. As I mentioned above, the current one I have a great job of keeping my laptop cool (should have invested in one of these a long time ago as now my laptop is aging and ailing and not overheating might helped to avoid some of my current issues), however, the 1st one I was shipped was visibly used and non-working. But when I contacted them about a replacement, the seller responded courteously and promptly and sent me out a new one.

Another reason I am only giving 4/5 stars is because the item is described as being suitable for a 15" laptop of any make/model (though it is mostly touted as a macbook stand), but I find that my 15" dell doesn't sit perfectly on it. The places where my laptop has it's rubber/nonslip grips is not compatible with where the laptop stand has its see the picture), so my laptop sometimes shifts in position while away from the computer (but never falls off of it- it's just annoying to move it constantly as my desk is a small rolltop desk with limited surface area).

So, in conclusion, the seller needs to be more conscious of the items it is shipping out, but other than that I think it's a very good quality item. It's heavy metal and sleek/stylish when bare. It keeps my laptop cool for long periods of time as I rarely turn it off. My only advice to the buyer is to make sure the white rubber/nonslip grips are in areas compatible for your laptop, based on the provided measurements.

Solid aluminum, 2 fans, and a USB port. What's not to like? This stand works great, keeps my MacBook from overheating, and is pretty much bulletproof. Oh, and it looks nice, too. Simple, just the way it should be. The only glitch I've noticed is that it likes to be plugged directly into my laptop, rather than into a USB hub. Not a big deal, but it does use up one of my USB ports on the machine, which is sometimes a hassle when I need to plug in a thumb drive, or similar.

I bought this awhile back and I gotta say its great! It works very well and is extremely sturdy. My only con is that its not lightweight, but I knew that when I bought it and I would still buy it again, it does what is should do and keeps on running day and night since I almost always have my laptop on. I give it a 4 for being way better than most ( I have owned a few other types) but dinged it one star for the weight. All the same, unless you really move your laptop all the time into different rooms, leaving it as the base for your laptop to sit on where you keep it most of the time should be fine since most of us move our laptops onto our laps or other places for short periods, probably don't need to move the fan unless you are really a long while in some other location. You certainly could go ahead and move this stand notebook cooler too, I mostly leave it sitting in my media room with my laptop there on it and use it from there. I have used it on my mac book and my hp and it does great.
