Product is exactly as described and works great. There is no glue: you peel a plastic sheet away from the fiber to reveal a sticky underside that attaches to your macbook pro. I had to readjust the pad a couple of times, and the pad easily peeled back with no residue.

I really liked this product - I wear a watch and the sound/feel of the metal latch on the watch scraping across the macbook drove me nuts. The microfiber pad feels really nice and protects it from normal wear as well. As one other poster mentioned, it does add a bit of thickness which makes the MBP harder to close. It isn't really so much that there isn't enough space for the pad as the latches are only barely long enough to close with the pad on. I don't really think this is an issue though - you really don't have to press hard to get it to close, but it can be a bit finicky. It isn't pressing against the screen when closed, so you don't have to worry about that. While I'm only giving it 4 stars instead of 5 due to the added thickness, I think that this is nicer than others I've seen since it is microfiber and not plastic.

This product fit my Macbook Pro well and was easy to install but my Macbook Pro top would not latch without squeezing the top and base together with what I feel is too much pressure. I don't think the latches on the Macbook Pro are sturdy enough to withstand this kind of use. The product is too thick for the latches to operate as they were intended. I ended up throwing it away.

I do everything I can to take care of my MacBook Pro and this helps a ton! I see my friends Macs and they have nasty hand marks, where mine is perfectly clean. I use my computer about every day and I will usually replace the pad after a year or two, however it could last much longer, but I like to keep mine looking nice. It sticks on great and can peel off perfectly fine. Takes a little while to actually stick in on perfectly however you can easily peel it off if you don't like how it looks and try again.

The pad works great, though it does make it slightly difficult to close the laptop easily, but the tradeoff is worth it.

I have a problem with my Macbook Pro, being metal after time stuff accumulate in the palm rest of the machine, mostly sweat and oils, this can get to the aluminum metal and leave marks. I purchase this after the fact to help preserve the machine look. I which I had this before. Easy to install and maintain.

It fits perfectly and I love the way that it feels under my wrists. I give it four stars because, as others have said, it is a little thick for the Macbook Pro and puts additional stress on the latches. I am betting that it is not enough to break them though, I'll update this review if it does.

Not only does it get dirty real fast. It is hard to put on and once its on for a good week it does leave sticky residue. Don't get it. Also gets lots of air bubbles.

Amazon promotes this to be purchashed along with a keyboard protector that works on both a 15 and 17-inch MacBook Pro. However, this product does not fit a 17-inch MacBook Pro. Otherwise, seems like a quality product.
