5.0 out of 5 stars Very Impressed, November 6, 2007

This review is from: Macally Sleeve for iPod nano 3G (Electronics)

Summary (pros) :

I picked up this product with my new 8gb nano 3rd gen. This is a great skin. It comes with a screen protector that sticks right over the glass (perfect fit), which I believe is better than a built in screen.

It's a tight fit and most importantly is the ability to control the ipod with this skin. Its touch sensitivity pass-through, is better than working with the iPod without this skin.

The width is increased to double the original size to allow you to wrap your head phones around, which works great and gives you a better grip over the tiny iPod.

Cons:

Docking.. This skin doesn't work well when docking in a tight spot. The headphone wrap feature gets in the way. For example when I use the car docking station I have to remove the skin, however when I use the ihome docking station there is enough room.

Thickness.. This can fall under both pros / cons depending on your perspective. This more than doubles the thickness of the iPod, which takes away from is very small profile. HOWEVER.. To me, it gives me a much better feel of stability when holding it, as the nano on its own is too thin to be held properly.

4.0 out of 5 stars One of the Best Cases available, January 3, 2008

Since I didn't want my nano to scratch, I decided to get a case for it. This case is stylish and it can protect your nano.

Silicon rubber covers every part of the nano except for the screen and the bottom. The screen is protected through a cover slip that fits between the case and the nano.

On the back, their is a very handy earphone holder you can wrap your earphones around.

The area covering the click wheel is thinner than the rest so that the click wheel is still pretty accurate with the case on.

The downsides are that things tend to stick to the case a lot and the cover slip gets dirty too.

4.0 out of 5 stars I love it, April 28, 2009

This case is made of rubber of some sort, and has a place to wrap your headphone cables around for mess-free transportation. The drawback is that doubles the width of the ipod, if that matters. Controls work well, with the bottom exposed for connections and access to the keylock button. The controls on the front are completely covered, and sometimes it is tricky to use. Occasionally, I lift up the cover and lay it flat against the controls and it becomes more sensitive (as if there were an "air bubble"). Quality is very good, and I am very happy with this design.
