5.0 out of 5 stars 10.2 Compatible
This seems to be the only gamepad out there with Mac 10.2 software for customizing buttons, at least in this price range. Believe me I've researched everything I can find from Logitech to Gravis.

1.0 out of 5 stars Don't buy if you own an Intel Mac
After I purchased and opened this product, I have found that Macally does NOT offer updated drivers for intel based macs.

Buyers beware, this will not work with your Intel based Mac.

1.0 out of 5 stars Does NOT Work on Intel Macs!, January 14, 2007
This review is from: Macally iShock II USB Force Feedback Programmable Game Controller (Personal Computers)
The iShock II WILL NOT work on Intel Macs, and per Macally' website, they have no intention of releasing an Intel- compatible driver for the iShock II. Don't waste your time on his product like I did.

5.0 out of 5 stars Get Two!, February 14, 2004

Do you like to play games on MacOS? Well, if you do, get this controller, or maybe even two of them. The driver for this controller is great. You can have the device configured on a per-application basis. So, you can have one setting for SpyHunter and another one for WingNuts. Look in to getting two of them, then you can have your friends play against you. The force feedback technology is great, you feel the bumps when you drive over dirt or when you crash.

Just got this Gamepad, which by the way is the ishock ii. It is great! Works with 10.2 after downloading drivers from the macally website. Fully programable. A heavyweight gamepad with plenty of buttons, and very comfortable for an adult's hand. You can even program it to be a mouse, but the controls are hard in "mouse mode."

If you need a gamepad for the MAC, I definitely would suggest this one.

The driver crashes in Leopard. I had to use USB Overdrive($20 shareware) to even use the device. Mechanically it is well made and has a nice feel in the hands. Too bad the software support is nonexistant.

3.0 out of 5 stars It does work on Intel Macs, December 9, 2007
This review is from: Macally iShock II USB Force Feedback Programmable Game Controller (Personal Computers)
To all those who say it does not work on Intel Macs. Please note that Macally has simply stopped development of their proprietary driver. However, the controller does work with OS X's built in support for HID input devices. Applications that support HID through OS X will work with the iShock II. One feature of the controller that will not work because it requires the Macally driver is the rumble feature. The Macally driver also provided the ability to map the controller buttons to other applications that do not support OS X's HID interface. This feature can be replicated using third party utilities such as USB Overdrive

1.0 out of 5 stars Not on my new Mac!, January 2, 2008

This DID NOT WORK on my shiny new Mac. I got 2. I guess that makes me twice as stupid. Macally told me they'd keep me posted if they ever produce what I thought I already had paid for. I guess thats their version of customer service. I'll keep them posted how I feel about that by giving their products 1 star ratings. It's good we can stay in touch with each other, isn't it?

1.0 out of 5 stars MacAlly iShock II. in desperate need of update, July 20, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)

First one arrived incorrectly assembled. Amazon was fantastic in getting a replacement unit to me in record time. After receiving the second unit, the drivers were terribly outdated and the device would only work properly on a few games. Was very frustrating while trying to use the iShock on X-Plane. Was marginal on Modern Combat Domination as I could only use part of the controls, couldn't aim up or down, only left and right. Ended up using the X-box 360 controller with the free driver online and has worked flawlessly. I would not recommend the Macally iShock but would definitely recommend purchasing through Amazon
