We really enjoyed this book, we have a Blue & Gold Macaw named Lucky, and he is a corker I tell you; the more we could learn about him before we got him the BETTER let me tell you; this book helped us prepare for sure!

This is a great reference for general needs information. A good place to start with a new Macaw. VERY helpful, especially during those first few days, you will get help to avoid common pitfalls and mistakes and make your experience more positive from the very start.

Summary: Very scant on useful information. Some nice info, general details and history with beautiful pics, but 'complete manual' ends there. Pretty book for the coffee table but that is about it. Plenty more info needed. Save your money and get a better book.
