Does this work with the Macbook pro Retina Display with the dual DVI cable? Also how would the side USB cable work do I need another cable?

The display comes with the USB cable for the USB port to work, so you don't need to worry about this one. Regarding the Retina MBP with dual DVI: I don't have a retina MBP, but it does only have a thunderbolt output, right? If so, than you can use the same cable I am using for my mini display port output (since they are reverse compatible with thunderbolt). I am using a mini-display port - Display Port cable.
