Product Description

Amazon.com Product Description

This story-driven action game seamlessly combines dynamic space- and ground-based combat with exploration and investigation. Mace Griffin: Bounty Hunter takes place hundreds of years in the future, when both human and alien settlers are rapidly colonizing the galaxy. You assume the role of Mace Griffin, a special ops officer turned bounty hunter, as he unravels a dangerous mystery. The game offers a seamless transition between first-person combat and space-flight actions, and an epic story with the pacing and drama of a blockbuster movie. Consistent flight control and weapons management systems make it easy to navigate both in space and on the ground, and to pilot six different ships, from alien fighters to massive carriers. The game includes lifelike nonplayer characters whose reactions depend on their varying intelligence, bravery, health, and weapons. The "rag doll" IK system creates realistic results when a character is shot or hit. The game's diverse missions, which may be story driven or incidental, take place in a wide array of walk-around environments, each with its own physics, obstacles, inhabitants, and creatures.

Product Description

Mace Griffin: Bounty Hunter immerses players in a universe of huge corporations and futuristic gunslingers as Mace seamlessly travels from the ground to the air to space, tracking his quarry and unraveling a deep and very dangerous mystery. Against a backdrop of corporate, political, and religious intrigue, Mace is framed for being involved in the deaths of his comrades. After a stretch in prison he becomes a bounty hunter, a vocation that gives him access to classified information and a means to aggressively pursue his search for the people who framed him.

5.0 out of 5 stars Mace Griffen Bounty Hunter, July 19, 2002
By A Customer
This review is from: Mace Griffin: Bounty Hunter (Video Game)
The game takes place a few hundred years in the future. Mace Griffin starts the game out as a member of the Space Rangers, a special ops task force of the future. After a mission goes awry, Mace Griffin is framed and blamed for his comrade's deaths and sent to prison for three years. Upon his release, Mace joins the Bounty Hunters and searches for those who framed him. In doing so, Mace unravels a complex scheme of political and religious intrigue.

MGBH will take gamers from Alien spaceships, to distant asteroids, to dog fighting aerial combat over a series of 20 missions with five to eight cutscenes per mission to develop the complex story. Players will have 10 different weapons, 7 vehicles, and 11 different vehicular weapons at their disposal. Several death animations make slaughtering alien races fun (when isn't it?). Direct hits with grenades send body parts flying and close calls send corpses slamming into walls. With more than thirty hours of gameplay, Mace Griffin: Bounty Hunter is sure to keep gamers glued to their monitors.
