I recommend this product to anyone who walks or jogs. It has a strap to insure it stays with you and you don't drop it. And MACE is the best brand to buy. A year ago while walking I had two pittbulls lunge at me from out of nowhere, fortunately I had a smaller can of this product at the time. Needless to say I finished my walk (bite free).

I've owned several pepper sprays since college, but this is the brand I will continue to buy. I tested it in a parking lot, and it had the longest, most accurate stream of flow of anything I've used and I could hit an attacker in the eyes without letting him get anywhere close to touching me. The hand strap lets me keep it out and available, pointed in the correct direction, without having to dig around or fish for it.

It does not have any kind of safety lock, so if you have small children, your keys need to be kept up and out of reach, however.

I bought this for my girlfriend for when she jogs for protection from people and animals.

It is very light and fits well in your hand. I purchased this one over some of its competitors because of the safety cap and the brand name. It costs a little more, but I believe it is worth it.

this item is highly recommended for those who jogs and walks a lot, it is very handy and easy to use, but should always be kept away from children.

I've emptied two cans of this products in the last two years. That's the only reason I'm probably hear to write a review. The last almost assault was just a couple of days ago by two vicious dogs running wild. I was down a dark street, no one to see or hear me. If not for this product those dogs would have had me for breakfast. I'm just about to order another can.

Wife carried this item about 4 months and I decided to do a scenario with it. She was supposed to

have practiced on her own and get to me with questions, but that didn't work. So, we went through

the procedures for use and put a large card board box with target on the fence for her to spray.

There was just a trickle of spray that went about 3 feet and stopped spraying. We emailed the company customer care times 3 and no one responded. No, we won't in a thousand years recommend

this product or this company. Of course, this was my fault for trusting that the product would work. It's just that testing these products with a limited number of uses reduces the possible uses and they were very expensive.

I opted to order two of these more expensive models of pepper spray due to the added features of the photograph. The Mace brand badge on the sleeve, The flip top plastic cover, the larger capacity white container of pepper spray. The tops of the bottles also seem to have been installed unevenly. I'm going to re-purchase from another place to find a product and reseller I can be more confident in.

Luckily, the issues with my ex didn't escalate and I never had to use this pepper spray. But I carried it all of the time for months, and it really never got in the way. Once it's wrapped around your hand, you have all of your fingers free. I could carry in the groceries and still have it in my hand -- I would only have to drop the groceries and flip the protective top to use it, which would take about two seconds. It made me feel really safe.

I still carry it, but it's in my purse now. It's small, so it really doesn't take up much room. I have carried it my hand recently, when I went for a walk at night. It really provides peace of mind.

While this item is as described, it was much larger than I had anticipated, also, I do not find it very comfortable to hold.

Excellent product!!!!! I feel very safe walking my dogs with this product, especially late at night or during the day.
