5.0 out of 5 stars Fun reading, but need the next volume finished., July 1, 1998

This review is from: The Macedonian (Privateers and Gentlemen, Volume Four) (Paperback)
I have long read books of this nature, and enjoy them. This is an average book, which however reaches too much into a psychological study of the main character, rather than being an action book. Someone once said the old Star Trek was cowboys and indians in space, so too should a sea story be. Too much time was spent on shore, too much time was spent reminiscing about the psychology of the character, and too much time was spent on a useless plot character called Lazarus. I have read all of the other books of this series, and recommend them, but this book is rather a laim example of their quality.
