One of the better albums of the 1990s that you have never of. And perhaps you have may have heard it all before, You can hear traces of Semisonic and Del Amitri to the alternative vibe that was so 90s. Can't Stop It is a nice little noisy lead off to the album leading up to Shining Shirt as one song ends and goes into another song. Highlight of the album is failed hit single I'm Alive which does sound like The Sand Rubies. The album kind of runs out of steam after that, but if you like a good pop record, there are worser stuff out there. But Mach Five was one of many bands that fell through the corporate cracks, and made their one album and then disappear, and their only album is one of the better unknown pop albums of the 90s. Still rates a A minus in my book.

These guys aren't afraid to throw themselves into the music and definitely don't hold back. They do show clear influences from the Stone Roses, Charlatans UK, and Oasis, but it's still original. Lots of great guitar work and bass lines to hold it together. If you buy this, make sure to play it loud.

I heard the song "This and Back Again" on Pandora and saw that it was by Mach Five. I tried to find it on iTunes without any luck. Then I came to Amazon and was able to get the CD. They just really have a good sound to me. Not sure why they never made it, but I thought the CD had several good songs!

One of the members of this band (Dan) is now a Doctor. I guess even rock stars save lives. The only reason i know this is because he was a chief resident when i was in the hospital a few weeks ago. Hope he doesn't mind this exploitation, but the music is great and he's the coolest, funniest, most nicest guy I've ever had a pleasure of meeting. I think everyone should buy this CD.

I had a chance to join this band as the bass player a while back and I was impressed with them. The only thing is they really rip off the Stone Roses and the Beatles a bit too much. Jeff's voice is on the money. The sound is dynamic but what will the second cd sound like? I don't think they can go higher only lower. Every song does'nt kick but when they do it's great all in all the best songs are I'm alive this and back again and rust.
