If you own an embroidery machine and want to get the most from it, Machine Embroidery Wild & Wacky is for you: it's a cut above the usual stitching guide and offers up some twenty projects for wood, metal, paper, canvas and plastic surfaces, pairs them with a cd-rom of designs, and adds in step-by-step instructions for using multiple needles and adding other embellishments. The purpose is to explore the wide range of opportunities available to machine embroidery users: it does an outstanding job of moving beyond the realm of the usual, opening new worlds to machine users just starting to experiment with possibilities.

I just purchased my first embroidery machine, and sewing machine a matter of fact. This books has so many ideas. The authors show you how to embroidery on wood, metal, mesh, and all sorts of cloth. Great ideas to mkae many gift items, not just clothing and house decor, but items for candles and even soap. The cd that comes with it is worth the cost itself. The cd rom has over 30 embroidery designs and color instructions in pdf format. Whatever machine you have a format is made for you. This book is a must for beginners to experts.

I bought this book on a whim. I embroidered toilet paper & soap (from the book) for my sister in Germany. I added an embroidered wash cloth & hand towel, and basketed it all up. She was stunned to see embroidered toilet paper. There are lots of fun projects in this book.

This book has some adorable projects. It also has projects for all skill levels and something new to try for everyone interested in machine embroidery. Also comes with free machine embroidery designs to expand your library. Fun book.

This was purchased for a friend as a gift, and we both love it.
Linda has given wonderful directions as well as some really neat
ideas for embellishments and placement of Machine Embroidery.

This book is well written and FULL of very good clear instructions, not to mention thinking outside the box for ideas. I LOVE it, Never thought of some of these ideas on a machine. Thank you for this book it will get lots of use

The information presented in this book doesn't live up to the hype created by the summary. Embroidering on wood means using lightweight balsa and only with certain types of designs. Info on embroidering on cardstock is already widely available. Many other projects were pretty far-reaching. I actually returned this book for a refund. While twelve dollars isn't a bad price, I didn't feel it was worth the money for what I would use it.

I am new at machine embroidery and found this book great for ideas and easy to understand instructions to make some fun gifts.
