Perfect!!!,
By Pirate Jenny (North Jersey) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Mack's AquaBlock Earplugs (2 pair) (Misc.)
If I get even a few drops of water in my ear, I get an ear infection which often develops into a sinus infection almost overnight; "swimmer's ear," alcohol, peroxide, jumping up & down smacking myself in the head don't work! I have tried a few different ear plugs; I especially don't like the "balls of wax," especially since I swim in a lake and after a few uses they look all...greenish-brownish moldy. Blech!
These are so soft & comfortable, easy to put in correctly and easy to grasp, remove, & clean; and most importantly, very, very effective at keeping out water. Reading reviews by people who surf & water-ski made up my mind to try these, and I am very pleased with them...and I can finally swim with no reservations.

I purchased these to replace an old pair of Speedo swimming ear plugs -
Description - They really look like the pictures and they are soft but not too soft - they have 3 rings(?) - The Pros - - Easy in , although it took me a while to get used to having to pull my ear up to let them in - comfortable , no ear irritation - easy out , easier if you twist them a little bit before pulling - they seem to stay in the same position for the duration of a 45 min swim The Cons - sometimes they let a little air in and you would hear a funny popping noise everytime the head goes in the water The use - I use them 3-4 times / week for around 45 min and they keep the form and seal just fine for that duration - I have not notice any degradation on the material during the 1 month I have been using them - I wish ... I wish they had an extra ring , 4 instead of 3 overall a great Product - :) happy with them

These are my first pair of swimming earplugs I have ever tried, but I'm glad I did. I always seem to get water in my inner ear every time I swim, but after using them for a month I haven't had any problems. First let me say, these seal fine just barely sitting into the ear. The first time I tried using them though, I had a scary problem with getting one out of my ear. It probably was a combination of things: I was thinking they should feel more like earplugs for noise(but they do not, I can barely feel them), my hands were wet, and I probably had them a little too deep to begin with. Anyway, when I went to grab them to take them out, I had accidently pushed it a little further into my ear and I couldn't pull it out of my ear. I had to ask a nice woman with fingernails to assist me. Since then I barely sit them into my ear, give em a little twist to make sure they seal, and I haven't had a problem with them falling out or letting water in my ear.

I have been swimming regularly for exercise for over 10 years. In all this time I have struggled and used about every type out there. These are the best and keep my ears water free and they are simple to insert.

I never had a problem with water plugging up my ears until this past summer. On two occasions, I went swimming and got water in my ears, which plugged them up for up to two days after. Since I was going on vacation for a week, and knew I'd be swimming and snorkeling in both pools and the ocean, I wanted to make sure I would have something to prevent water from getting in my ears. After browsing Amazon for a while, I decided to try these, as they seemed to have the best ratings and reviews.
I was not disappointed. All of last week, I was swimming and snorkeling, and each time, I wore these AquaBlock earplugs. Not a drop of water got in my ears, and I was able to swim without suffering from plugged ears for days afterward. I was extremely pleased! Not only that, but the earplugs are extremely easy to insert and remove, and are very comfortable. They also provide an extra pair (in case you're like me and tend to lose things), and come in a clear plastic container so that they stay clean and in tact and don't get lost in your bag. Overall, I am extremely pleased with my purchase, and highly recommend these to anyone looking for a good pair of earplugs for swimming or bathing.

I tried so many plugs with some good luck, but throughout my circuit I'd have to stop and readjust them; these are perfect! Slightly different way to put them in (pull up and back on your ear) but they worked flawlessly. Keep in mind the first time you use them the water will touch your ear canal ever so slightly further in making you think they're letting water in...they not/don't. Highly recommended!

Beginner swimmer experiencing ear infections,

I dont have a lot of experience with these kind of products. I just started swimming recently. I found that it took a while for me to get these earplugs in the right position to block water but once they were in place they worked great. Idk if I had trouble because I didn't know the proper way to insert them or if they're just poorly designed. Even after the first few times using them it still took a while to get them in place right. But like I said, once I get them in right I don't have to worry about any water getting in my ears. My ear infections have ended for good.

I use these earplugs mainly for lap swimming and they work well to keep water out of the inner ear. They have to be adjusted a bit but overall work fine. Good product.

These are great, but don't get the clear ones. If you drop them in the water they are hard to find.

This is the 3rd brand I try, the other 2 much more expensive and not really as good as this one.
They are good and cheap, what else can I ask for... |
