Great for the restless sleeper,

Nothing else will do! I sleep alone (actually, with a purring cat) and run a white-noise generating air purifier at night, but I've got a disturbed sleep pattern, so when it's windy or hailing, when my downstairs neighbor runs her thrumming ceiling fan, or my upstairs neighbor has his occasional party on a Friday night, or the cat holds an early morning caterwauling session, these are miraculous.
Of course I find it particularly hard to sleep in new places even when it's relatively quiet, so these are a travel lifesaver. I suspect that part of the benefit is the familiarity of the sensation (acupressure, anyone?); I've needed them when camping in a completely noiseless desert wilderness because I'm simply not used to the silence, and then there are the early risers clanging around making coffee. Loud noises do come through, but only very quietly--a slammed door, a loud alarm clock, a shout, that kind of thing--but it blocked out my air conditioner condenser while I was getting used to it. Of course there are a few downsides. You won't hear an alarm clock unless it's right next to you or turned up very loud. I use a dawn simulator, which typically works just fine because it wakes me up with light, not sound. Also, I have to remember to tell people I'm staying or camping with that I'm using earplugs; otherwise, gentle efforts to wake me up will fail. I usually get 2-3 uses out of a pair, which means a 30 pair box lasts 4 or so months. After a few nights the pores in the silicone seem to get blocked and it's hard to get them to stay in my ear. However, I'm a very ear-waxy sort of person, so your mileage may vary.

I've tried about four different ear plug brands so far. I have to admit, I wasn't satisfied with this brand. I have two guinea pigs in a cage in my room at night, and I try to use ear plugs to stop some of the noise. When I tried to use this product, I loved the way they kept their shape when I went to put them in my ear. However, compared to my other ear plug's, I could hear every little noise my pets made. Halfway through the night, I ended up switching to my other ear plugs. My other ear plugs claimed to reduce the same amount of noise and I couldn't hear my pets at all.
I'll give it three stars for the way they kept their shape, but they didn't do what I bought them for.

My husband snores and I was at the end of my rope with finding something to block him out but let me hear the alarm clock. These little foam plugs are just the thing. If you have tiny ear canals you'll find them a bit tight, but they soften up as they get warmer in your ear. When they're both in, you can't hear anything far away, and things up close are drowned out by the sound of your own breathing. They're comfortable, you can use them a couple of times if you clean them off, and a great deal if you buy in bulk.

I've tried them all,

I have tried dozens of brands and all have come up short compared to this brand. What I most appreciate and attribute to its success is the fact that they last longer than all the others (it doesn't start losing its elasticity before a couple of weeks is up). I use earplugs every night, so I do go through many. When I can get my hands on the Mack's brand, they'll last me at least twice as long as any other. Aside from the comfort, they are more dense and therefore better sound-blockers as well. I'm only having difficulty finding them locally now. CVS stopped carrying them because they came out with their own CVS brand version of them (they just don't stand up as long/well), and CVS probably realizes that they can't compete with Mack's.

Helps Ensure a Quiet Night of Sleep,

I've spent the past several years living in a dorm environment and/or with roommates, and I have found these to be invaluable for ensuring me a good night of sleep. They are much more comfortable than other earplugs I have tried, extremely effective, and most importantly, cheap! Because you can reuse each pair multiple times (depending on your hygiene levels - I find replacing once every other week is about right), one box lasts for several months. Overall, a great product!

Used to work before they changed them,
My husband snores so the only way I can sleep is by wearing ear plugs. This brand used to work very well at blocking out the noise, but recently the company changed them. Now they hardly block any sound at all, the ones that used to work have a smooth texture - the new design is rougher and much thinner.

Mack's makes the best earplugs on the market...period. This order came promptly and to my satisfaction! I will definitely order these again in the future!

Great for airplanes and sleeping in noisy places. They are a little big for small ears, but it didn't bother me very much.

I've only recently started taking long motorcycle rides and discovered that I was left with a ringing in my ears after 8 hours of riding from all the noise from the wind and the engine. An experienced rider suggested that I buy some cheap disposable earplugs to wear under my helmet so I bought these. Needless to say they do the job and make my ride much more comfortable. The other bonus is that these plugs seem to cut out only the lower frequencies so I can still hear things around me, just the loud noise of the wind and the engine get cut out.
