5.0 out of 5 stars Footmuff - a must have for urban winters
We have the Maclaren Triumph, this footmuff works perfectly with it. You can still fold up the stroller with it attached. Before we got it we were covering our 11 month old with a thick blanket, which always seemed to drag on the street and get filthy. The footmuff is like a sleeping bag, but the straps go through the back of the muff to keep her secure. I like how the...

1.0 out of 5 stars 'Universal' it is NOT - doesn't fit Techno XT
I bought the so-called 'universal' footmuff for my Techno XT, but there is no way to attach it securely. Since I"d washed it on arrival, I couldn't send it back. I contacted Maclaren, who have so far sent me some nonsense email about how it it's designed to be attached with the 5-point harness rather than with poppers...no, it is not! 1.0 out of 5 stars 'Universal' it is NOT - doesn't fit Techno XT, November 7, 2009
There is only 1 slot near the bottom, no other holes for the harness..and it does have 2 poppers on each side. But on this stroller, there is no way to attach even one of these poppers..so it's unusable. Now I've learned from other parents that the 'Bundle me' by JJCole is the thing to use instead. BIG waste of money.

I like how the top cover can be completely unzipped off when you are in a rush and its too warm to cover the child up.

It does get dirty on the bottom from puddles and the wheels. But thats why I like the navy color - it doesn't show that much. It washes up well too. I wash in cold and line dry.

4.0 out of 5 stars Cosy, but instructions to install are not clear, December 6, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I have the Maclaren Quest and I think the instructions for the Maclaren Universal Footmuff are not clear on how to remove the shoulder straps from the waist straps. I ended up doing a search on Google, where I found out that where the shoulder straps meet the waist straps, you can slide the shoulder straps clear under the plastic. On closer inspection you can see that the plastic can be lifted. Its not easy to do, I used a non sharp knife to lever it a bit to get the shoulder straps out. Hope the tip helps anybody else who is having trouble!!!

2.0 out of 5 stars Warm and cozy, but drags on the ground, November 26, 2010
I love that this footmuff is warm and cozy and matches our stroller, but it drags on the ground when we use it with our quest. I have to tuck the bottom under the stroller, so it doesn't drag along our gross New York streets. Because it hangs down, it gets dirty fast!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great stroller gear, January 2, 2011

Great addition to my trusted stroller. The footmuff keeps my little one warm, but isn't too bulky to prevent the stroller from folding up at the end of the day.

keeps baby/toddler warm and comfy during the cold months; easy to clean and fairly simple to put in/ take out of the stroller. I just love that the color wont fade with subsequent uses (machine wash COLD only!)

I bought this footmuff one week ago and I love it! The material is really soft and my baby is so warm in it! I wish the price could be lower but it is a Maclaren...I recommend this item to everyone who want to keep babies warm...

3.0 out of 5 stars not that easy to install, October 6, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Just ordered received mine and it took like 20 min to install. I had to unclip the harnesses and that took some work! Also the ties are not long enough or strong enough to hold it in place once my son (17months) was in it. It slides down. I think the JJCole Bundle Me Toddler would have worked better. I also can not see how this will work in my other stroller. Don't think it was worth the $ and I wish I would have bought the Bundle Me.

Maclaren had a great idea with the footmuff but the product itself needs work. The footmuff requires so much effort to get on and off, I find myself not using it at all. Also, it's long enough so that the bottom can easily touch the ground - not good. I think that with a little refinement, Maclaren will have a terrific product on their hands. I'd recommend skipping this product.
