I'm unaware of any airline that allows passengers to bring their strollers on board (review below). Instead, they permit you to 'gate check' it. Well, I don't believe that these people care about my stroller and they probably toss it into the storage area. If you want to protect your stroller from damage, I highly recommend.
This bag will fold down small enough to fit into the small basket Maclaren strollers provide. It's easy to put the stroller inside (wide zipped area), and can stay folded in your luggage while you're out of town. I find it a great product.

I used the bag to take our stroller on vacation. The bag was large enough to hold the Maclaren XT and then some. The wheels were sturdy and the bag was easy to pull. It made taking the stroller along easy.

This bag is amazing. It easily fits our stroller with no problems and some extra things we may want gate checked. The big issue we ran into was EVERY time we gate checked, because it was not one of those bright red bags, it ended up being sent to the normal baggage claim. It was a challenge, as we did not want to leave the gate until we knew for sure it was at baggage claim and we would have liked to use it to roll our son out of the airport. We ended up splitting up, and luckily, it was not lost, simply, was not at the gate check when we got off the plane.

The bag itself is great.

I got this bag for the sole purpose of travelling with it as I didn't want the airline crew to be throwing around an expensive stroller... it arrived on time and although the Maclaren XLT is a little snug in it, it does fit... and there are wheels at the bottom of the bag which I wasn't aware of before hand, but I think is great for travelling.

I bought this bag some months ago and first time of use it ripped near the wheels. I contacted Maclaren customer service and all they could say is that their product never had any complaint, and that it was probably mishandled by the airline I traveled with. However, the problem occurred on my way to the airport, before being handled by the airline, and I had to make a quick tape repair before shipping. Now I'm stuck with an expensive and ripped bag, and no intentions of the manufacturer to investigate this further.

I find it is much easier to wear my baby in a carrier when I'm in the airport, but when we want to bring our stroller with us we wheel it through the airport in this carrier and gate check it. The only problem we ran into was that many airport employees thought it was a set of golf clubs! Once we cleared that up we had no problems at all.

I haven't used it to travel I just wanted it for storage, so far so good, is bigger than it looks in the picture though. It feels really sturdy. The amazon shipping was really fast.

I purchased this bag earlier this year prior to leaving for vacation. It arrived at the destination airport ripped. The hard plastic that is part of the wheel assembly ripped right through the material. I contacted Maclaren Customer Service in the UK and they refused to warranty it even when it was clearly a manufacturing defect. So I spent $20 to fix the $50 bag. The repairman affirmed that the bag was made of inferior materials and that it would continue to break. He even reinforced an area that was not ripped but felt was weak. Lo and behold, when I went on a subsequent vacation this year with the newly repaired bag, the OTHER side of the bag ripped from the plastic of wheel assembly! UGH! Save your money. Don't buy this product. You are better off buying a golf bag to use in this manner. I recommend buying a bag when traveling on planes. Air travelers are overhead space hogs nowadays and there's not much room left for a purse, much less a stroller. Also, we travel with a car seat so the fewer things we take on board, the better. Besides, do you really want an unprotected stroller in the filthy cargo hold?

I purchased the buggy bag last month for travel with my techno xt. I used it for the first time to gate check the stroller on one roundtrip flight (no connections). After returning home, I was dismayed to discover that the bag had already worn through the bottom near the wheels and that there was a 3-inch hole in the bag. I love the durability of my stroller, and I am very disappointed that the bag did not meet those same standards. I expected that the Maclaren brand bag would be of better quality. I contacted Maclaren and asked them to replace the bag. They refused and said that the tear was caused by stress that was not "normal usage."
UPDATE: Maclaren contacted me and offered to replace the bag as a goodwill gesture.

The bag is bulky, but strong.

If you are going to gate check your stroller (check up on this, many carriers now do not allow cabin stowage of strollers, but they will let you gate check them) this is a good way to save your stroller from damage.
