5.0 out of 5 stars Best "Snap N Go" Out There
I chose to spend the extra $$ for this version of the "Snap N Go" and haven't regretted it for a single day! I've used it as my stroller every day since my daughter was born instead of getting one of those gigantic travel sets. It's great both in stores and for going for long walks. I use it with my Chicco Key Fit car seat and it fits just perfectly. The basket is HUGE...

4.0 out of 5 stars Super light and convenient, July 8, 2009
This review is from: Maclaren Easy Traveller Stroller, Black and Silver (Baby Product)
I wish I had purchased this item sooner! I am in decent physical condition, and after throwing out my back lifting a different 27-lb so-called "medium-weight" stroller in and out of the trunk for daily errands, I knew I needed an alternative.

Pros:
--Extremely lightweight
--Folds and stores easily
--The mesh basket is HUGE. I can fit my "diaper bag" (LL Bean Deluxe backpack), purse, hat, and so on. You have to think a little bit ahead to configure items if you want to access them once the car seat is on, but it has worked for me.
--The Britax Companion clips onto the frame. It's not a tight clip like a car seat base, but you shouldn't be driving this at high speeds anyway :)
--There is an additional safety strap that *must* go across the car seat at child's hips to fully secure it on. This is a bit of a hassle to remember to do every time, but an important safety feature.
--I am 5'0" and my husband is 6'3", and we both are comfortable pushing it.

Cons (depending on your situation):
--Yes, it has a large footprint (roughly 22" wide x 37" long). The width is what makes it seem bigger than most strollers. Thus, if you live in an area with very tight shopping aisles or busy sidewalks, this item may not be for you.
--The "bottle" holder is for a *baby* bottle, not an adult water bottle or coffee cup. We didn't even bother to put it on. If you must have a place for your coffee cup, this may not be for you.
--The wheels could be a little bigger and/or have slightly more shock absorption, even for relatively smooth terrain. I use this stroller for indoor shopping and short outdoor walks. If sidewalks have uneven crags, I have to lift the wheels a bit to get over them. Don't expect to go off-roading or jogging with this! That's not its intended purpose.
--Obviously you can use it only as long as your baby is in an infant car seat, but I thought it was well worth the money even for that time period.

Overall, I would recommend as an everyday stroller to keep in the trunk of you car for light errands.

The umbrella fold beats the others out there for ease of storage, plus it's so light and maneuverable! I'd recommend this to anyone for your first stroller, then you can take your time to figure out what kind of stroller you REALLY want when your little one outgrows the carrier carseat.

I am sure the Maclaren Easy Traveller is everything everyone says it is. I myself have a Quest for my 2 year old & couldn't be happier. That is why I purchased to Easy Traveller for my baby on the way. I thought how could I go wrong?
I read all the wonderful reviews and knew I'd love it too. Except for the fact that no one has mentioned its size. It is HUGE. I was only assuming it'd be the size of my Quest & I could use stroller adaptors to connect the two if need be. That definitely isn't happening. I am still shocked by its size. I am so sad to send it back for a refund. Its size just isn't for me. Just to descibe a little more for the people who expect it to be Quest-sized, it is about as wide as a Graco Quattro Tour & very tall.
I just figured I'd take the time to share my opinion as I really appreciated everyone else's while I was on my search.

5.0 out of 5 stars Yes, it fits the Chicco Key Fit 30, April 6, 2010

I have just received the easy traveler and am super excited! It is lightweight and compact. It steers well. I placed the Chicco Key Fit in the A position and it fits perfectly! Although Maclaren doesn't list the Chicco Key Fit as a compatible infant car seat, it is compatible and fits well. I would feel safe transporting my little guy in this stroller.

I have not used it yet since the baby has not come yet. But, I don't regret my purchase at all!

5.0 out of 5 stars Maclaren Fan, March 4, 2010

I tried out the other two brands, Graco and Kolcraft with my Chicco Key Fit 30 in a local boutique and this was the only brand the Chicco sat in comfortably. Also, the other brands didn't have the safety belt which I felt was lacking in safety because of the clip system in the keyfit, it wouldn't "snap" in.

I have been a huge Maclaren fan for over 9 years now. I have a Quest from 6 years ago that I use for my day care and just received a pink/grey one for our new baby girl. I love this line. No, its not for everyone, but I definately set a trend with mine a few years back in our small community. Its lightweight which is great for new moms because our arms, necks and shoulders take a beating with a new baby. It doesn't take up a lot of space, even with my crossover SUV, I didn't want the bulk of a large stroller, With two olderkids in sports; coolers, chairs, bags and unbrella's, stroller space was tight and this and the Quest are the perfect fit for our lifestyle.

I have always loved the concept of a universal car seat stroller. Until now, I thought that the Kolcraft was the best. However, I am now a Maclaren Easy Traveler convert! This fits my Graco Safeseat perfectly. It turns on a dime and has a very smooth ride. Folds easily and is very compact/lightweight. So handy! You won't need anything else as long as your baby is in an infant car seat (except for a jogging stroller). This is a stylish and well thought out product. Wonderful!

5.0 out of 5 stars work with Chicco Key Fit, August 3, 2010
This review is from: Maclaren Easy Traveller Stroller, Black and Silver (Baby Product)
OK, you like the Chicco Key Fit, but that stroller system - sucks - it's just too big. And, you have read that it's not compatible with other baby seat carriers, well, let me tell you - all the reviews that state this combo works, are correct. It's great, it's sturdy, and with the adjustable bar on the highest setting, the Key Fit, fits fine. People are often stating that "it does not click in...." But, if you notice the Key Fit does not click in on the bar of these systems, but it fits fine and use the secure strap and you are good-to-go. In face the click system of the key fit is different, it's on the middle and sides, so it would never click in with these other system.

5.0 out of 5 stars so much easier to use than a travel system..., March 19, 2010
This review is from: Maclaren Easy Traveller Stroller, Black and Silver (Baby Product)
For my 3rd child, after months and months of research, I decided to purchase the easy traveller to use with the infant car seat, rather than lugging a stroller around. When the baby is in the car seat age (up to 6 mo) you never actually use the stroller other than as a car seat carrier anyhow. I bought the maclaren after having used two maclaren strollers previously, knowing that the folding is very compact, umbrella style, and easy, and doesn't require bending over ever. I am using it with a Peg Perego Primo Viaggio and it fits PERFECTLY, with the back bar lowered to the lowest level (C). A screwdriver is required to lower the bar. This comes with a bottle holder, for a baby bottle or small water bottle. I also purchased a maclaren universal organizer to hang off the back. The Primo Viaggo is in very secure. There really is zero chance of it falling down. There is a very deep slot in the back of the Primo Viaggo that the back bar goes into. The front of the Viaggio rests on the edge of the metal bar and over the black bumpers. You MUST use the safety strap to prevent the car seat from flipping over backwards. I was also considering the quinny zapp with maxi cosi mico car seat, but I felt more secure with the Peg Perego Primo Viaggio, and this, because I already owned the car seat, and it is a dream snapping in and out of the base, very easy to use and light to carry (both the car seat and the easy traveller).

5.0 out of 5 stars Simple and Perfect, February 23, 2010
This review is from: Maclaren Easy Traveller Stroller, Black and Silver (Baby Product)
As new parents, we were extremely overwhelmed by choosing a stroller. Did we need a little umbrella stroller, a sports stroller, a change-able stroller ... to make things simple, we decided to just get this stroller to start and then we'd figure it out from there. That was probably one of the best decisions we made in getting ready for the baby!
The stroller is light weight, easy to move, easy to store, rolls wonderfully ... it's perfect. In addition, the Maclaren is well made and the company has amazing customer service!

I use this with a Chicco KeyFit carseat, and it's great. It's narrow and easy to move through cramped aisles. I can stow a ton of stuff underneath. I can usually get it open with just one hand and a foot (to lock it into place). I would recommend getting the Maclaren universal organizer as well- it makes the stroller even more functional.
