5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome stroller
Was easy to assemble. Just had to add the cover/hood. Once you figure out how to release the straps, it's a piece of cake. Straps move up and down easily for when you lay them down. Plenty of storage in the bottom and little pockets (good for diapers and wipes). Maneuvers very easily. Folds up nicely, and is so light. The only drawback, is that the front of the...

We purchased this stroller for our twins in October 2010, and by December the back foot pedal (used to open and close the stroller) had broken off completely. We contacted MacLaren, and they paid for it to be shipped to New Jersey to be 'inspected and repaired.' They had the stroller a month before they finally repaired the stroller and we got it back. 4.0 out of 5 stars Excellent value for the price, June 28, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
We think this is a very good, sturdy stroller, with good material construction and ease of use. It collapses to a reasonable size, though collapsing it could be a little bit easier.

We read that the wheels are cheap, but we haven't had problems. However, they are not the most rugged wheels, so if you are going to use this stroller heavily you may wish to upgrade to the next model which has rubber wheels.

Also, this stroller doesn't have the extended sun shade that the next model up has. It does a good job of blocking sun, but you'd need an extender for complete protection. Again, I believe the next model up has the extenders built in.

The only drawback, is that the front of the hood/cover has black marks rubbed on them-but I don't really care. Love the way the back folds down and easily assembles back up.

The directions are easy to follow and have pictures for every step-just look for them in the back.

And remember, this is not a jogging stroller, so you will feel the bumps as you roll over sidewalk cracks. However, I love that it fits through any door. I mean ANY door. The best purchase ever.

4.0 out of 5 stars Maclaren Twin Triumph, May 7, 2009
Great undercarriage storage! My right outside wheel doesn't work and it doesn't have a beverage holder, that aside I am crazy about it!

5.0 out of 5 stars All in all, a great stroller with a few quirks, July 1, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I have a 3 year old and 18 month old, and we love this stroller. It handles easily and is light. The handles are comfortable and at a good height. We love that there's no awkward 3rd handle to prevent Dad from pushing. :c) The seats are comfortable and provide enough room that each kid has space and they don't squish each other. The baskets are just large enough for my purse and to toss some other things in for a walk, and the bags on the back of the sunshade are roomy (though they can carry a maximum weight of only a pound). The sunshades are practically useless, and I would aboslutely recommend purchasing the Protect-a-Bub Classic Sunshade (see my review). The wheels are small but well-made, and provide wonderful maneuverability. This is NOT an off-road stroller by any means. It's great for walks, shopping, and travelling (which we do a lot of), but was a hassle when we took it to a petting zoo with gravel trails. If you stick to paved/smooth surfaces, you will LOVE this stroller. If your kids won't hold their own sippy cups, I'd also suggest getting a detachable stroller organizer with cupholders. I got the Carry You Sicily Double Stroller Organizer, which fits fine (I have a review for it, too). Also, the directions on folding this stroller are useless. Use your foot to push both of the foot holds under the seats up as far as you can, then find the small handle behind the right seat. Put your foot on that with your hands on the handles, and push down HARD with your foot. The stroller will collapse forward. I thought I was going to break it, so it took me some time to figure this out. Now that I know I won't destroy the stroller with a little pressure, it's extremely easy to fold/unfold. I wish it came with a carrying strap so that I could carry it over my shoulder, but the suitcase-style handle is perfectly adequate. All in all, we love this Maclaren. I leave it set up in my living room after walks, and my 18 month old will sit in it just to play. Great stroller!

5.0 out of 5 stars Very happy mother of twins, August 20, 2009
I LOVE this stroller. It's very easy to navigate, fold/unfold, fits perfectly in the back of our SUV. I have 6 mo old twin girls and they love it. They seem very comfortable. A big plus that I didn't realize until getting the stroller is that the seats are machine washable. Very nice! Couldn't be happier.

2.0 out of 5 stars Horrible craftsmanship, terrible repair service, May 9, 2011
We purchased this stroller for our twins in October 2010, and by December the back foot pedal (used to open and close the stroller) had broken off completely. We contacted MacLaren, and they paid for it to be shipped to New Jersey to be 'inspected and repaired.' They had the stroller a month before they finally repaired the stroller and we got it back. In March 2011 (after only 5 months of light use) the same foot pedal broke off again. We sent the stroller to MacLaren mid-March, and they STILL have the stroller, and do not know why it keeps breaking-- and refuse to replace the stroller.

I am not sure what MacLaren thinks people do without their primary stroller (as mentioned above, it is used lightly- mostly mall walking 2-3 times a week), and they want to replace the entire chastity on the stroller. We have sent them 4 e-mails, and they have only called once (Mid April) to let us know what the status is of the stroller, and to let us know that it would be returned within 10 days.

So, here we are, a 7 month old stroller that MacLaren has had in it's repair shop for 3 months. My twins are now 13 months old, so we were forced to make a decision and purchase a new stroller. This is NOT what I expected with MacLarens reputation, otherwise I would not have invested the money into this stroller to begin with.

4.0 out of 5 stars awesome for Disney, March 6, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
We got this stroller for an almost 7 year old (really!) and a 5 year old for our first Disney trip. We knew we could extend the days significantly (without going back to the room to rest) by using a stroller so they didnt get exhausted walking the parks and waiting in line. It did, too. My 7 year old got over her 'stroller are for babies' thing about 1 hour in :). She happily plopped herself down (she never complained about it being a tight fit but it was. We reclined the back and she was comfy as can be. We were really torn as to whether we should just rent a stroller at the parks or buy one. We're so glad we bought this because the 'resale value' is so high, we actually MADE money by selling it on Craig's List as soon as we returned. Plus, we had it for the airport, and for when 2 very exhausted kids as we left the parks and waiting in line for the buses to take us back to our resort. We used it 6 out of 7 days... it was awesome. We bought the matching pocket thing, which I would suggest if you have alot to carry around with you. Oh, and we took all the straps out cause we had such big kids. It folds up nicely once you get the swing of it. It drives wonderfully--even with all that weight (we were pushing the max) it could be pushed and even turned one handed. Not sure about durability since we only used it for a week :) the guy who bought it from us drove 50 miles to come and pick it up. It was his second twin triumph-- they sold theirs prematurely and now needed it again for ....guess what.... a Disney trip! Anyway, get this for the high weight capacity if for no other reason. You might be surprised how long you use it :)

4.0 out of 5 stars Pretty good, August 23, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I mostly bought this stroller because I am very tall (6'2") and the Maclaren is the tallest double stroller available. I originally bought the Maclaren Volo single stroller when my oldest daughter was 2 1/2 for a trip to Walt Disney World, and I was more than pleased. It was super lightweight and the perfect stroller for that trip, not to mention super convenient to keep in the trunk. The Twin Triumph is a very good stroller, but definitely not lightweight like the Volo. It is also MUCH harder to unfold and lock into place. I live in Florida and am usually in flip flops, and you have to press really hard to get it to lock into place, which is a pain. But the included rain guard is a great feature! At our last trip to WDW we decided to play it safe and put the rain guard on before going into the Beauty and the Beast show, since the sky was starting to look a little dark. It started pouring during the show, and although it had stopped again by the end, we felt very lucky to be the only family with a nice dry stroller for our kids. Overall I am happy with the purchase, but I do wish it was a little easier to unfold and fold, as well as a little lighter.

5.0 out of 5 stars great double stroller, March 2, 2011
Let me first say that I did not buy this stroller on Amazon. It is listed for $240 on Amazon and I found it online for $189. For the price, this is an excellent double stroller. My twins are 4 months old. I had been using the double "snap and go" stroller which is enourmous and difficult to steer. This stroller is lightweight and very easy to maneuver. It turns corners with ease and my twins seem comfortable in it. The seats recline back further than I expected which is great for napping. I bought the coffee color which i love - something different than the standard black but still hides dirt well. Also, the seats are removable for washing which is an added bonus. The stroller comes with a rain cover which I had to use on our first walk with the stroller and it works like a dream - it was only a light rain but the cover was enough to keep the girls dry until we got back to the car...they actually seemed to like it too :) This stroller may be a bit more difficult to open than others, but the other features make up for this slight flaw. The baskets are slightly small as others have said, but this is a light weight umbrella stroller and not a heavy duty one with all the bells and whistles that other strollers might offer. Overall, I'm very pleased with my purchase and if it holds up it will probably be the last stroller I buy.
