Another side of Italian music,

This review is from: Macrame (Audio CD)
If you want to discover a great Italian singer, you must try this one. Forget Ramazzotti. Even if in this "Macrame" Fossati is not at his best, you'll find something different here. His best titles are "La pianta del té" , "Discanto" and "Lindbergh". And if you got the chance to understand the lyrics... uh, you'll be Ok in dating for the next 20 years.

A perfectly woven macrame',

If you're searching for a top Italian music album that goes beyond Italy "Macrame'" is the right one. Music and lyrics have probably never fused together this well at least in Fossati's most recent production. I suspect that the presence of the ex-Crimson Tony Levin and the supreme percussions of Trilok Gurtu have placed the icing on the cake of a supreme work of music. "Labile" and "Stella benigna" (Benign star) are just superb songs in an overall exceptional album. Lovers of Italian authors and Brazilian melancholy (and whatever is in between!), don't miss this one!
