This was a school book I needed.
Keila Flagg
I use it as a reference, often to analyze Krugman's columns, and find key topics very well discussed and easy to find.

My single-star rating is based entirely on Aplia's restrictive policy, as explained below.

I wanted this textbook, based on my reading of other work by Krugman, to learn a little introductory macroeconomics. After visiting the Aplia web site and seeing a sample of the supplementary material available, I decided to spend significantly more for the book with access card so I could use Aplia to enhance my self-study. This was a big mistake!

Aplia's policy requires that a professor-supplied Course Key be included to register and use their materials. Nowhere on Amazon's page or those of Aplia will one find a hint about this policy before purchase. Self-study means the professor is nonexistent, of course. While one could envision an easy solution--a valid key supplied by Aplia--but they are quite rigid about this. I would not expect any feedback or support from Aplia, just access to what I had already paid for.

So back the textbook and access card go to Amazon for a refund, and I'll have to do with a presumably lesser experience by purchasing the book standalone. What a hassle, and good riddance to Aplia.

The book didn't come with an Aplia access code. The book came with an EconPortal code. These are two different things so I had to spend an extra $135.00 to just purchase the code online. Terrible waste of money!!

Book came pretty quickly and was in great shape for a used book.
There was no writing on the pages.
I was able to use it in replace of the 3rd edition for a college course, (Summer 2013), and there isn't much of a difference.
