5.0 out of 5 stars awesome, March 19, 2005

This review is from: Macsense AeroCard Extreme 802.11G Cardbus Card for PC and Mac ( WPE-800 ) (Personal Computers)
We're an Apple family at home with several computers and the original Airport. At work I'm a PC person and I needed a wireless card that would be compatible with the Airport. This Aerocard works great! I'm not that computer savvy and I was up and running in 5 minutes on our intranet. We're thinking of up-grading to Airport Extreme and this card will work with 802.11g also AND for our older Apple computers that cannot take Airport Extreme cards, this Aerocard WPE-800 is compatible. I'm delighted with the purchase and Amazon's $64 price was the lowest that I can find.

I plugged this into my Powerbook G3 Firewire (Pismo) running OS X 10.3. It worked without a hitch. It doesn't use the built-in antenna, but since the card's antenna protrudes from the computer case, reception is quite good (better than my 15" Al Powerbook G4).

An absolutely painless way to add 802.11g to my computer (especially compared to the intricate procedure for installing the original Airport card).
