I bought this model (256MB) after owning the 128MB model - which I gave to my son to replace his failed Samsung 128MB player - for a couple of months. I use it for Podcasts exclusively - which I play through my cassette adapter in my vehicle. I can't personally attest to the fidelity as far as music goes, though my Son says it is fine, and as this is the only player I've ever had, I have nothing to compare it to. We have had no performance difficulties whatsoever. The instructions were a little unclear for me when I first bought the 128 model, but
I've read reviews that say you can download updated ones from the Macvision website. I also believe the instructions that came with this model were likewise updated. Anyway, I figured it out. The bottom line is that you can get an MP3 player for $30 (128MB) and for a few bucks more you can double the storage. Believe it.

this thing is way to easy to turn on. My husband has burned through so many batteries on this thing because all it takes is bumping the switch that sticks out for it to turn on. So if you have it in a bag or a pocket it will turn on without you knowing it. Otherwise it's decent. The sounds quality is good and I found it fairly easy to use.

Excellent item. I love this thing and I use it a lot. Great price and great item. Good sound quality and the changing color lights are pretty cool. The headphones look a little silly. :)
